Job Overview:

This position will create, maintain, and organize the document control system to ensure that it complies with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 standards and that all necessary documentation is created and that changes are properly approved. Will ensure that all documents are well organized, easily retrievable, and presented in a manner that all employees can easily understand their intent and directions.

Responsibilities

Works with production leaders and subject matter experts to create Work Instructions, (Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safe Practices, etc), Environmental Management System, and quality documentation for each key processes and systems

Creates and maintains document control system

Maintains document update and training records

Assists other departments with record storage and retention planning

Participates in company audits as necessary, by ensuring that the necessary documentation is well organized, in good condition, and readily available for review

Assists in the creation of company communication materials to ensure that employees clearly understand information relevant to the business

Perform audits and track audit response results as directed by Manager

Maintain and file records and run reports for the Quality Department

Other tasks as assigned by Manager

Relationships

Reports to the Quality Manager

Interacts daily with members of other departments

Job Requirements

Background and Preferred Skills

Some post high school education required: certification or an Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience.

Quality experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to simply and accurately describe the key steps of process in a work instruction

Strong computer experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and document control software systems

Must have excellent business writing skills for the preparation of company communication materials

Ability to learn and use new software packages as needed, ex WINSPC, minitab

Ability to meet deadlines and with minimal supervision

Measures of Performance

All controlled documents are properly controlled and organized

Document changes are completed through the proper approval process

Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safe Practices and other documents are easily understood

All documentation meets regulatory standards
