In this role, you have the opportunity to:

As a Documentation Control Specialist, you will be responsible for providing configuration management (CM) services that provide management and control of Mercury System's product (hardware & software) configurations and baselines.

You will be responsible for

maintaining and verifying auditable compliance with plans in addition to working as a member of a team to resolve any configuration control conflicts or issues. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the Mercury TMS product baseline and configuration management best practices library in support the overarching Mercury enterprise.

You are responsible for

: * Responsible for implementation of all aspects of configuration management particularly as pertaining to maintaining and verifying compliance with plans and processes (e.g., ISO-9001, ASD 9100D)

  • Identifies and recommends configuration management technical principles, theories and concepts required to achieve both project and company configuration management objectives

  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations

  • Participates in technical teams to resolve configuration control conflicts and issues

  • Provides technical and administrative configuration management services spanning the engineering life cycle of all managed configuration items

  • Creates and provides for the documentation of Mercury TMS' hardware and software systems, including the maintenance of a product/function baseline and best practices library

  • Participates in the creation of engineering prototypes prior to the release of designs into production

  • Reviews configuration documentation for compliance with build instructions and Work Orders

  • Creates and/or reviews Bills of Material to assure configuration management compliance in accordance with customer/product specifications

  • Adds any required configuration management special instructions to Work Orders and Bills of Material as required to ensure proper assembly

  • Provides technical support, as needed, to the Production and Quality Assurance teams

  • Assists customers and support personnel in understanding product configuration management processes and Mercury's implementation in the product baseline

  • Uses Solidworks to configure new BOMs for products that meet written requirements. (No design)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and abilities

: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of one year of experience in configuration management/control

  • Experience working with design collaborative platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, EPDM, Oracle, eDrawings, Confluence)

  • General technical knowledge in computer systems and software

  • Requires understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts, particularly the interrelated disciplines of Configuration Management and Change Management

  • Experience with baseline audit/control techniques, a demonstrated working knowledge of version control process and data management, and working knowledge of CM tools

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint)

  • Must be a proactive team player who is willing to learn new skills and take on varied assignments

  • Excellent attention to detail and work accuracy

  • Ability to maintain a structured and organized body of work within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

  • Experience working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)

  • Understanding of basic systems engineering practices and principles
