Document Control Specialist (Los ngeles, CA)

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Document Control Specialist located in Los Angeles, CA.

As the Document Control Specialist, you will:

  • General Maintenance/Revisions of Process Formulation Sheets including issuance through system and the organization of the Bills of Material (BOM) and (Routings) in SAP

  • Process NPI in IBM Note system

  • Commitment to safety

  • Support product change management process

  • Work with Quality, Process Development Chemist and Production to collect their inputs on PF sheets

  • Responsible to maintain the BOMs and Recipes in SAP (Data Administrator)

  • LA Site Document Control Administrator (DCA): Responsible for procedures and work instructions for the Los Angeles site

  • Assist Department Managers in creation of new or revised procedures as needed to ensure instructions are clear and agree with other site procedures

  • Maintain the authorized "Controlled" Quality Manual, Procedures, etc. for Los Angeles on the QT9 Database; in addition to the controlled documentation on the LAN (including process formulations) which is used by the site. PF creation/revision

  • Provide support for AS9100 QMS, EHS Audits, 3rd Party DNV Audits and Internal Audits (Internal Audit Coordinator), including participating as an Internal Auditor

  • Validates quality processes by establishing product / processing specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures

  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new process methods, and manufacturing and training procedures

  • Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics and processes to achieve quality and on time delivery goals

  • Support the achievement of Cost of Quality, goals as identified by the Plant Manager, Regional Quality Manager and Quality Director1

Skills and experiences required:

  • A Bachelor's degree or three years of related experience

  • Familiar with AS9100, ISO and DNV audits

  • Proficiency in Internet, Email, SAP, and Microsoft programs

  • Project Management skills

  • Ability to plan and organize tasks to consistently product results, with minimal supervision

  • Ability to function efficiently in a multi-disciplined, cross-functional environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with multiple layers of the organization

  • Very detail oriented

Preferred:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred
