Summary:

Controls quality systems documentation, manages LPA, supports internal QMS audits and monitors progress of follow-ups for corrective actions. In addition to quality, provides administrative support to the Engineering department as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages all quality systems documentation by maintaining integrity and consistency of document and data control.

  • Manages Layered Process Audit (LPA) program.

  • Supports internal QMS Audit program by issuing audit packets, tracking completion, and managing files.

  • Supports response to customer requested information such as new supplier forms and quality surveys, as well as, various compliance documentation.

  • Supports the completion of any 2nd party systems inquiries (surveys, agreements, etc.).

  • Conducts document revision training as required.

  • Participates in departmental and cross functional teams on continuous improvement activities.

  • Reviews, evaluates, and processes document control ECNs accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Understands and is able to apply the Quality System Regulations in daily work.

  • Manages document control internal projects/assignments that support continuous improvement efforts and department/company goals.

  • Provides guidance and communication to document originators to share best practices and to resolve change issues and/or discrepancies.

  • Supports engineering in maintaining the engineering vault as needed.

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent necessary, higher education preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in document control or other detail related position.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
