The Dow Chemical Company, located in Midland, Michigan is looking to hire a Document Management Administrator. The purpose of this job is to lead the successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Document Management Systems (DMS) within their assigned area. The Document Management Systems contain policies, requirements, processes, best practices and procedures associated with the operations of a plant or function. These roles ensure that the DMS is effectively implemented, maintained and value creation is maximized.
The successful candidate will use their specialized functional and technical knowledge, educational background or experience to be a self-reliant achiever in the assigned role and will apply this knowledge when interacting with people and when performing alone. In addition they will teach others basic technological concepts and seize opportunities in a responsive manner by leveraging skills to influence efficiency to achieve results and work effectiveness across the site. This role will also provide back-up support for Waste Logistics and Scheduling as well as additional administrative support as needed.
The responsibilities for this job will include but are not limited to:
Assist in budget setting and perform cost tracking
Implement and maintain DMS. Act as Administrator for the web-based portion of the DMS.
Act as File Share Manager (FSM) own file share, control access privileges, coordinate and control structure, and manage records retention compliance
Identify issues at an early stage evaluates and suggests options/corrective actions/solutions
Completes projects which require working outside of natural work group/department
Coaches and encourages others to initiate their own activities
Train personnel on various tools, systems, disciplines
Achieves results by improving work processes
Uses Dow work processes and operating discipline
Defines and applies appropriate procedures
Updates plant or department documents and resources
