Job Summary: Promotes patients' continued well-being through providing direct psychological services promoting optimal individual, interpersonal, and social functioning.
Under the direction of supervisors, conducts psychological testing and assessment. Participates as a member of treatment team for assigned programs of work. Conducts ongoing clinical research in their field of study, and participates in any organization research as indicated.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1.Clinical expertise in psychotherapeutic processes, crisis intervention, skills in working with individuals and families undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress; skills in diagnosis and assessment
2.Knowledge of and ability to adhere to the professional code of ethics and the state mental health code.
3.Ability to work as part of a comprehensive mental health team and to represent the agency in the community.
4.Excellent organizational skills and administrative abilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Doctoral candidate in psychology, in good standing, from an APA accredited program
2.Has been selected as part of the APPIC match process
