We have a great opportunity for a qualified Foreman for Bulk Drum Operations with a background handling the day-to-day bulk drum and plant operations' safety, KPIs, environmental, compliance, and maintenance of assigned Bulk Drum and plant equipment.

This position is located in the Miami, FL office of Cliff Berry, Inc. (CBI).

  • Promotes safety within assigned plant and serves as an example using visible felt leadership.

  • Supervisors warehouse and dock crew

  • Ensure compliance for all waste received and that bill of lading/manifests that details the type, quantity, and destination of the goods being carried are accurate

  • Compliance and record keeping of all hazardous, universal waste received.

  • Review and maintain driver VCR's and logs daily.

  • Responsible for all outbound shipments are properly loaded for shipment.

  • Responsible for drivers for BDR, landfill loads or trailer swaps.

  • Assisting to manage costs to do with BDR.

  • Proper management of all waste streams coming into the plant.

  • Proper management of all waste being received that it is bulked properly, and that it is compatible with the waste it is being bulked within the container.

  • Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance is performed and assists in performing minor repairs and maintenance of the of all BDR equipment.

  • Learn 40 CFR as it pertains to the job assignment.

  • Understand all permits which Cliff Berry, Inc. is required to maintain compliance for all local, state and federal government regulations.

  • Documentation of all waste received and keeping a good filing system/record per the permit.

  • Understanding of Dot regulations, if not you are expected to take classes to learn all regulations that pertain to this job.

  • The ability to lead and coach employees, train employees in their job and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

  • Minimum 3 years managing employees

  • Ability to read and comprehend

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of OSHA/DOT and compliance in environmental helpful.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills

  • Must be proficient in the English language

  • Great organizational skills

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work all hours - including nights and weekends

  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, and working outdoors

  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position.

  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors and customers.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and be able to climb. Hands on when needed.
