Position Summary

In this position, you will serve as the primary contact and business area expert for the driver license data requests received through open record requests, driver record request, driver-related bulk data sales, and the Public Abstract Request System. This includes receipt, tracking, and fulfillment of these records requests.

You will also be responsible for working with vendors regarding data access, record sales, and the coordination of data contracts, data access eligibility and open record requests. This includes ensuring contractual obligations are met, trouble shooting, error resolution and problem solving within DMV and outside vendors. You will be involved with the development, maintenance, support and documentation of the telecommunication, correspondence, work report updates, and performance standard systems. You will be responsible for researching and developing more efficient programs and processes to improve reporting of the section and bureau work reports and performance expectations.

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range (07-04) with a salary of $26.52/hr ($55,161 annually)-$31.62/hr ($65,769 annually), plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:

  • Experience with statistical analysis or data management to inform or make data-based decisions.

  • Experience managing projects or programs with an organization or statewide impact.

  • Experience developing and completing audits of a program.

In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Experience collaborating with external partners (i.e., community partners, professional organizations, etc.).

  • Experience reviewing or interpreting information from federal, state, or other sources to make complex decisions that may have significant monetary impact.

  • Experience managing data contracts, open record requests, or privacy laws and/or policies.
