The Microsoft State and Local Government Services West team is looking for a dynamic leader to manage, coach and mentor a delivery team with a focus on Local Government Agencies in the State of California. The Delivery Management Manager (DMM) leads a high-performance team of seasoned service delivery professionals well versed in cloud adoption, delivery management practices, and technology trends.

  • Bachelor's or equivalent work experience

  • PMP or other project management certification preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience involving any combination of the following: technical consulting, support management, operations and people management

  • Demonstrated capability in managing complex projects and support engagements

  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend, and maintain senior client relationships

  • Exceptional communication, team building and mentoring skills

  • Previous revenue management and forecasting experience

  • Demonstrated capability in developing and retaining professional talent

  • Demonstrated ability to lead client and consulting teams in a highly matrixed organization

  • Must have demonstrated experience collaborating with sales, architects and clients in structuring work to sell new business.

  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise, Project Management, Strategic Insights

The ideal candidate will reside in CA and travel to customer locations throughout the State will be required for this position.

The DMM is accountable for end-to-end service delivery within an assigned portfolio of customers, representing Microsoft Services throughout all deal phases while demonstrating a critical partnership with internal and external stakeholders. The DMM serves as the Microsoft Services primary point of accountability and/or escalation for their portfolio of customers. This role has direct people management responsibility for both delivery and relationship management resources and supervises the services delivered to customers by their team. The DMM is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, driving customer effective use of Microsoft's cloud platforms, services revenue growth & profitability, and the governance of delivery for their portfolio of accounts.

The ability to be effective as a DMM requires a senior executive who has held strategic leadership roles within Microsoft and/or executive leadership positions within the government, global services or Fortune 1000 corporations. The ability to easily and effectively connect and relate to senior customer executives is an imperative. DMMs develop relationships with key line-of-business executives (CxO level), putting them in position to translate early business needs and insights into actionable Solution strategies and assist Business Units in driving these initiatives to early results and business value.

The Medical Education Manager/Senior Medical Education Manager will manage independent medical education grants and associated activities for the assigned Genentech therapeutic areas. The Medical Education Manager/Senior Medical Education Manager works with Medical Affairs therapeutic area colleagues and various internal functional areas, as required, to ensure independent medical education grants are fulfilled in compliance with ACCME, FDA, OIG and other relevant guidelines, as well as Genentech policies and federal/state statutes and regulations. Key Accountabilities: * Ensure overall compliance and quality of medical education programs for the assigned therapeutic areas; working collaboratively and efficiently with all internal and external customers, partners and other stakeholders * Evaluate grant requests and provide compelling recommendations for approval/denial based on strategic and compliance considerations * Lead multiple cross-functional GRCs (Grants Review Committees) for the assigned therapeutic areas; using effective written and verbal communication, facilitating constructive discussion to enable decision-making, and building collaborative relationships with committee members * Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of clear criteria to assess Independent Medical Education providers and their grant applications in a consistent and compliant manner for the assigned Genentech therapeutic areas Core Responsibilities: * Use in-depth IME expertise to assess HCP educational needs and develop strategic tactical plan recommendations for IME in assigned therapeutic areas * Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of criteria used to assess appropriate IME providers, such as academic institutions, hospitals, professional societies and associations, as well as for professional medical education organizations * For the assigned therapeutic areas, manage all incoming grant requests and assess for appropriateness and compliance with Genentech criteria, policies and procedures * Chair the GRC for assigned therapeutic areas, which is a cross-functional review group. Update members on grant status, pending requests and other relevant information * Manage grant through the decision-making cycle and ensure appropriate end-to-end documentation * Limited travel (approximately 1-2 per year) to monitor IME activities based on established criteria Lead, act and live Our Operating Principles in all aspects of work.
