Job Description

The Field Marketing Director for the South Division will leverage PepsiCo's powerhouse beverage brands (such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lipton, Aquafina, and Gatorade) to deliver breakthrough marketing programs to grow brand health and drive volume in the Division. He/she will be responsible for the holistic business agenda in the South Division and create locally-relevant brand initiatives and consumer engagement to meet business objectives. This position must lead the Division Field Marketing team in creating the strategy, utilizing all levers of the marketing toolbox, and executing the plan flawlessly.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage a team across the South Division to develop and implement marketing programs for key PepsiCo brands

  • Turn insights into action by creating locally-relevant brand programs

  • Build and effectively influence the Marketing Agenda to deliver Volume, NOPBT, Share, and Net Revenue Plans for Division

  • Lead the Execution of National Brand Priorities and Platforms within the Division

  • Build and activate local playbooks to support priority brands

  • Drive impactful marketing programs that have scale, are repeatable, & improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Partner with the Division leadership team to build a compelling Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Quarterly Business Plan (QBP)

  • Develop innovative ways to leverage local media and prestige properties to build awareness, trial, and repeat of our brands

  • Launch national innovation priorities through sampling, customer-specific programming and consumer engagement

  • Own Division's marketing talent strategy and capability

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree Required; Advanced (MBA or Marketing) Degree highly desired

  • A minimum of 10 years prior Marketing experience (if undergrad degree only) OR 8 years of prior Marketing experience (if Advanced degree)

  • Prior Brand, Field or Shopper Marketing experience within consumer packaged goods

  • Strong team leadership and talent development skills

  • Customer experience and/or experience presenting to external organizations

  • Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA with a concentration in Marketing

  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills

  • Strong collaboration, project management and influencing skills within a matrix environment

  • Strong written and oral communications skills required with the ability to partner at all levels of the organization

  • Must demonstrate professional maturity ability to manage up/down, strong interpersonal skills for interaction with internal/external senior leaders

  • Passion for leading direct reports, extended team & agency partners to think & operate differently than existing paradigm

Responsibilities * Manage, Coach and Mentor Divisional Engage Life Innovation Directors. * Plan, develop, evaluate and oversee the implementation of resident programs with an emphasis on engagement and active aging. * Stay current in active aging trends and research. * Utilization, Management and Development of Atria Resident Discovery tool and reporting features of the program * Innovate, create and generate industry leading programs that serve as a sales point of difference in assigned markets and nationally. * Create, implement, and promote physical and cognitive fitness lifestyles for older adults including evidence based programs. * Work with Social Media team on developing content and social media coverage * Lead the development of Engage Life programs for residents with cognitive impairment. * Work closely with Life Guidance Program Directors where applicable to optimize continuity of engagement for all residents with dementia. * Program to existing spaces within a senior living community in order to help residents optimize independence and an active lifestyle. * Champion the benefits of a healthy and engaged lifestyle with residents, employees, referral sources, and the public. * Ensure that exercise/fitness programs are safe and effective for older adult population. * Serve as a company spokesperson on key active aging topics and initiates visibility by presenting at meetings, lectures, and conferences regarding on a range is aging issues. * Assist in the orientation and training of new Engage Life staff including policies, procedures, best practices, national programs and strategic alliances. * Set community program development goals in partnership with Operations. * Champion the Engage Life Program Instructor staffing model as core strategy for quality and customer satisfaction enhancement as well as sales growth. * Plan, organize, and implement marketing and community education events that promote active aging and the benefits of engagement in later life. * Champion and foster professional development and lifelong learning in self and others. * Continually recognize Engage Life staff for innovation and performance achievements. * Monitor and Manage Monthly and Annual budgets and expenses for the Engage Life Department. * Champion the Quality Enhancement indicators for Engage Life * Responsible for the successful roll out and implementation of company initiatives and Innovative Engage Life Program * May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent in gerontology, exercise science, recreational therapy, health education, physical education, behavioral health, public health, wellness coaching, fitness or related field. Master's degree preferred. * Proven understanding of the dimensions of wellness and the benefits of engagement for late life happiness and subjective well-being. * Minimum of four years of multi-site experience in developing and implementing engaging programs for older adults designed to optimize independence and engagement in life. * Experience and demonstrated success in orientating, training, and coaching active aging professionals in a functional leadership capacity. * Strong computer and technology skills. * Organized and results oriented. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. * Strong sales and presentation skills. * Knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing exercise prescription, wellness programming and health education for older adults. * Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in supporting older people and their families with the transition from home to senior living environments. * Proven ability and understanding of how to efficiently and effectively manage budgets and business expenses. * Knowledge of the role of environment in optimizing wellness. * Required Travel: 95% Atria Senior Living Group, Inc.
