The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Division of Facilities Services is looking for a Division Operations Manager (PCN 25-3653) to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Anchorage - $3,850.40 bi-weekly
Fairbanks - $3,965.60 bi-weekly
Juneau - $4,043.20 bi-weekly

The working environment you can expect:
This position may be filled from Anchorage, Juneau, or Fairbanks. This position reports directly to the Divison Director located in Fairbanks, AK. The work environment allows for the opportunity to engage and meet with facility partners from all executive branch offices, key stakeholders, leaders, and Division employees statewide. Some travel will be required
What you will be doing:
In this position you will be responsible for leading statewide operations of facilities maintenance and will be the subject matter expert on all maintenance-related matters for over 800 state facilities, with a potential for many more facilities. You will be involved with the planning and implementation of the Statewide Facilities initiative in order to bring the majority of state-owned facilities under the centralized management of the Division. You will also be directly involved in providing leadership to three to five geographic facilities operations and maintenance supervisors across the state.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department and two years of supervisory and/or managerial experience, which may be concurrent with the professional experience.
Special Note:
"Professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department," means experience in one of the professional areas that compose the division's purpose and function to ensure the applicant has the knowledge of the work of the division to be managed.
For example, in an administrative services division, qualifying professional experience could be in any one of the professional areas that compose business administration, such as accounting, procurement, human resources, and so on.
In a line division, for example the Division of Mining, Land, & Water in the Department of Natural Resources, qualifying experience could be in any one of the professional areas that provide for the use and protection of Alaska's State-owned land and water, such as geology, hydrology, forestry, natural resource management, and so on.
