SUMMARY

Responsible for overall effective management of assigned Division including establishment and monitoring of processes and procedures to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly job activities are performed. Must establish business practices to meet Profit/Loss objectives. Ensures Division adheres to all company policies and procedures in the areas of Operations, Finance, Credit & Collections, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Procurement, and Sales & Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the Division's Budget and Profit/Loss objectives

Responsible for Sales Analysis and Market Strategy.

Ensures all Operating Principles are adhered to:

Uses timely reporting about our business to manage by exception.

Ensures all quotes are entered into the system.

Ensure standardized commission plans are applied.

Ensures standardized take off and estimation approaches are utilized.

Ensures standard job set up will be used to maintain data integrity for performance metrics.

Operate under a disciplined materials management process incorporating bar coding technology.

Adopt common pay practices across divisions.

Purchase only inventory items from approved supplier list.

Ensure materials are returned from residential job sites.

Responsible for ensuring Division has processes in place to execute the daily sales, production, order management, shipping, accounts receivable, and warehouse job responsibilities listed in the Oracle Division Manager Playbook.

Responsible for ensuring that all shipping activity is performed daily so that revenue and payroll data is captured in the proper period.

Responsible for utilizing the Oracle Division Performance Reports to monitor and identify process efficiencies, departmental effectiveness and discrepancies in the areas of sales, production, procurement, profitability and accounts receivable

Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety Compliance of Division, including DOT compliance (if applicable)

Responsible for implementing and supporting effective staffing protocols to include recruiting, hiring and employee retention.

Responsible for implementing and supporting effective employee relations practices to include setting and communicating job expectations, providing coaching for improvement, and/or proceeding with formal performance improvement programs such as progressive discipline or performance improvement plans.

Responsible for ensuring employee terminations are handled in accordance with all company policies and in adherence with all federal and state employment laws.

Responsible for implementing and supporting protocols to ensure all office non-exempt (hourly) and exempt (salaried) employees receive Annual Performance Evaluations.

Supervisory or Management Responsibility - Has the authority to direct managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.

Budget Responsibility Has full responsibility for planning, monitoring and analyzing division/department budget.

Decision-Making Level and Scope Decisions have significant, broad implications for the management and operations of a major division/department or multiple divisions/departments. Job contributes to decisions on the overall strategy and direction of MCS.

Independence of Action Sets direction and vision for major departments or multiple departments. Establishes priorities, develops policies and allocates resources.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum Degree: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Course of study: Construction or related fields

Special Certification or Licensing: Must have a valid Drivers License.

Must be able to obtain MCS/MVR approval and PACE certification. Obtain training in the OSHA 300 Recordkeeping procedures and document completion.

Special Requirements:
Obtain applicable certifications/licenses as required or needed.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum experience: Minimum 5 years of construction experience

Required Industry Experience (Construction, Insulation, Trades, etc.): Prior P&L responsibility a plus.

Must be detail oriented, excellent communicator, highly organized
