SUMMARY

Responsible for overall effective management of assigned Division including establishment and monitoring of processes and procedures to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly job activities are performed. Must establish business practices to meet Profit/Loss objectives. Ensures Division adheres to all company policies and procedures in the areas of Operations, Finance, Credit & Collections, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Procurement, and Sales & Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the Division's Budget and Profit/Loss objectives

Responsible for Sales Analysis and Market Strategy.

Ensures all Operating Principles are adhered to:

Uses timely reporting about our business to manage by exception.

Ensures all quotes are entered into the system.

Ensure standardized commission plans are applied.

Ensures standardized take off and estimation approaches are utilized.

Ensures standard job set up will be used to maintain data integrity for performance metrics.

Operate under a disciplined materials management process incorporating bar coding technology.

Adopt common pay practices across divisions.

Purchase only inventory items from approved supplier list.

Ensure materials are returned from residential job sites.

Responsible for ensuring Division has processes in place to execute the daily sales, production, order management, shipping, accounts receivable, and warehouse job responsibilities listed in the Oracle Division Manager Playbook.

Responsible for ensuring that all shipping activity is performed daily so that revenue and payroll data is captured in the proper period.

Responsible for utilizing the Oracle Division Performance Reports to monitor and identify process efficiencies, departmental effectiveness and discrepancies in the areas of sales, production, procurement, profitability and accounts receivable

Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety Compliance of Division, including DOT compliance (if applicable)

Responsible for implementing and supporting effective staffing protocols to include recruiting, hiring and employee retention.

Responsible for implementing and supporting effective employee relations practices to include setting and communicating job expectations, providing coaching for improvement, and/or proceeding with formal performance improvement programs such as progressive discipline or performance improvement plans.

Responsible for ensuring employee terminations are handled in accordance with all company policies and in adherence with all federal and state employment laws.

Responsible for implementing and supporting protocols to ensure all office non-exempt (hourly) and exempt (salaried) employees receive Annual Performance Evaluations.

Supervisory or Management Responsibility - Has the authority to direct managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.

Budget Responsibility Has full responsibility for planning, monitoring and analyzing division/department budget.

Decision-Making Level and Scope Decisions have significant, broad implications for the management and operations of a major division/department or multiple divisions/departments. Job contributes to decisions on the overall strategy and direction of MCS.

Independence of Action Sets direction and vision for major departments or multiple departments. Establishes priorities, develops policies and allocates resources.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum Degree: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Course of study: Construction or related fields

Special Certification or Licensing: Must have a valid Drivers License.

Must be able to obtain MCS/MVR approval and PACE certification. Obtain training in the OSHA 300 Recordkeeping procedures and document completion.

Special Requirements:
Obtain applicable certifications/licenses as required or needed.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum experience: Minimum 5 years of construction experience

Required Industry Experience (Construction, Insulation, Trades, etc.): Prior P&L responsibility a plus.

Must be detail oriented, excellent communicator, highly organized

The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Regional Technical Service Manager to manage and coordinate a wide variety of regional activities pertaining to the service operations within the sales offices, distributors, representatives and authorized service locations for all Xylem Water Solutions brands. The Regional Technical Service Manager will be providing support to our direct branches and distribution channel partners in the Northeast Regional area. The individual should reside in the Canada region. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: * Provide service and shop operational guidance the Sales/Service branch operations in the assigned area in accordance with established company policies and procedures. * Monitor service performance and advise shop operations related to 6S, shop tooling, workload management, Environmental health and Safety policies, Service Vehicles, etc. * Assist in managing workload and manpower between all branches within the region * Guide the service efforts of all Flygt / Godwin(and other relevant Xylem brands) distributors/representatives/OEM service facilities in the Region in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist end users with service related issues. * Provide supervision and training to appropriate personnel to assure smooth, efficient and effective service operations (includes in-shop repairs, start-ups and field service). Coordinate all shop/service operations and assure the timely shipment of all product and parts. Assure timely and accurate completion of all service administrative processing. * Interface with end-users (in some cases with reps and distributors) handling service problems and startups either by phone or on-site visit. Assist office personnel with product specifications as required. * Perform repairs (including rental and warranty repairs) of pumps and other product accessories. * Assure compliance with all established personnel policies and procedures. Perform supervisory personnel functions including but not limited to performance management, hiring, disciplinary action, etc. * Assure accurate verification of pumps and parts received, maintenance of inventory, and accurate and timely shipment of outgoing product and parts. Also, assure that the shop/service area is maintained in a neat, organized manner. * Assure: adequate stock of product, parts and supplies; maintenance of shop equipment/machinery by vendors; service vehicles are properly equipped and operating efficiently and safely. Assist with the ordering of service trucks and shop-on-wheels' vehicles. * Support the 'service call center' process by providing support to our end users. * Conduct product education training seminars within assigned area for both direct and distribution branches * Includes education and support related to all communication of Technical and Service bulletins * Collect and report on service and technical repair problems from the assigned area. Requires written reports to head office monthly. Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification: * 5 years related experience working in the field of waste water projects and products. * High School Diploma required. Continued education is preferred, but not required. * Strong working knowledge of the theories governing the operation and application of various Flygt and other relevant Xylem brand products is necessary. * Working knowledge in water/wastewater processes, including pumping and various treatment equipment * Treatment focus around disinfection (UV, Ozone), aeration, and filtration * Thorough understanding of systems troubleshooting and the benefits of establishing solid service practices for the operating and fiscal benefit of the company, distribution and the end-user. * Very strong customer focus and interaction to ensure optimum relationships. * Must have experience with electrical control panels, VFD's, PLCs, SCADA systems and other electronic systems and instrumentation. * Must have proactive ES & H focus in and around company and customer worksites; as well as on travel to and from. * Strong leadership, supervisory, prioritization and communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary to help define, develop and enforce initiatives. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Quote for Service, & SFDC.
