Essential Functions

Position Summary:

Primary resource for supporting the division in its lean transformation through the implementation of the Parker Lean System (PLS). Delivers practical, hands-on training to associates in PLS methodology and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the Win Scorecard and PLS Lean Journey Assessment. Trains and develops associates in PLS methodology and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Guides all PLS initiatives within the division. Works with division staff and plant level management on Lean Implementation using Parker Lean Systems as the principal tool. Ensures the development of a robust Lean Future State Strategy to be implemented division-wide.

  • The Division Lean Manager will ensure adherence to PLS standards at the division for the site, value stream and team improvement boards, enabling a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) culture and progression of the Lean Journey. Supports continuous improvement by helping to cultivate a high performance team culture. In multi-site divisions, supports plant lean leaders through required and special team meetings. Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting productivity, material control, product quality, and customer service goals.

  • Implement and support cultural changes across the organization and drive business improvement.

  • In multi-site divisions, helps develop plant lean leaders with an emphasis on championing the division's goals, objectives, and implementation plans relative to the Lean Journey Assessment, division strategy deployment, and future state site plans.

  • Ensures on-going education of all employees at the division in PLS. Promotes a continuous learning environment.

  • Communicates the status of all lean efforts to the group lean manager. Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved to the division staff and the corporate lean leader, as reported through Parker's Lean Journey Assessment and Win scorecard.

  • Shares "best practice" methods and ideas with group lean manager.

  • Responsible for driving productivity improvements through value stream transformation projects and high performance projects.

  • Define, develop and publish business improvement process documentation/standard word.

  • Report on achievement of key performance indicators and identify any actions required.


  • Bachelor of science required, preferably in a technical field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Background of 5-7 years of continuous improvement work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with and strong understanding of lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools, Statistical Problem Solving, ISO, QS9000 or similar.

  • Has successfully led Kaizen events within a manufacturing environment, both production and office.

  • Good understanding of financial measurements and goals in the Lean enterprise.

  • Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.

  • Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas of the division.

  • Experienced trainer.

  • Must be a US Citizen or have a US Permanent Resident Status.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

The Project Manager will ensure that projects are built on schedule, within budget and adhere to quality standards of the plans and specifications and the standards of the company. The Project Manager is a responsible member of the business development/sales team of the company. Responsibilities: ?? Estimate construction costs, develop projects, and manage from start to finish, for projects ranging up to $8M ?? Create and Manage construction delivery schedule. ?? Regular interaction with clients, must deliver an elite level of service and professionalism. ?? Work with trades to define construction scope, delivery schedule, and contract pricing. ?? Verify contract documents to drawings, create subcontracts, payment schedules, and award contracts. ?? Material take-offs, material pricing and purchasing, manage sourcing and pricing of finish schedules. ?? Manage and coordinate with Design Department. ?? Coordinate daily with field personnel to maintain schedule. ?? Problem solves for unanticipated construction situations. ?? Track costs against estimates using software and work with accounting department closely to assess project progress. ?? Change order creation, management, and tracking. ?? Monthly client invoice creation and review. ?? Project forecasting, budget analysis and estimated cost to complete reporting. ?? Attend and represent the company at project meetings. Requirements: ?? Must have extensive knowledge of the commercial construction process with skills in design, finance and management. ?? Experience with design build process is strongly preferred ?? Must be extremely organized, motivated and quality minded ?? Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ?? Strong interpersonal skills, superior communication skills and be able to motivate personnel working in or for the company ?? Capable of the highest level of client communication and client service is paramount. ?? Minimum of four-year degree in construction/engineering and five years of experience in the construction industry. ?? Fluency with Timberline software is strongly preferred, including Project Management and Estimating ?? Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MS Project ??
