Experience & abilities you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology required Exploration Geologist with at least 10 years’ experience in mines, quarry and non-metallics required. This experience must include mineral exploration, mine geology and raw materials.
Cement industry experience required.
Must be experienced in mining operations, stripping mines, loading, hauling, drilling, blasting, and drilling exploration. This includes mining plan and Scheduling.
Conversational Spanish is desired.
Leadership to manage subordinates with ease and respect to achieve goals
Working knowledge of MSHA regulations, MSHA training required.
What you will do: Responsible for Raw materials reserves and exploration of 5 quarries in the US, Technical support (office/field) in several geological/mining projects, cooperate and collaborate with Plant Managers and Quarry Managers in their needs/priorities regarding raw materials. This position reports to Corporate Raw Materials Manager.
Exploration on non- metallic industrial minerals
To coordinate geology activities on several projects
To evaluate projects in terms of feasibility, cost/benefit analysis, result scenarios, etc.
Strategic planning on short, mid and long-term Projects
Drilling Campaigns scheduling with logging and budget integration
