Division Controller-Renewable Energy

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Division Controller who will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting functions and will proactively identify, review and drive process improvements specific to the division/business unit. The role requires collaboration with leadership on various aspects including strategic planning, implementation of financial projections, and mitigation of business and risk management to align with business unit goals. You will report to the Business Unit Director for SCS's Energy Business Unit and you will be based out of our Long Beach Headquarters. This position does have flexibility for a hybrid schedule.

How you can make an impact

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting activities of the Business Unit.

• Oversee financial accuracy in preparation of accounts receivable progress billings based on contract terms.

• Handle construction contract schedules and job cost reports. Prepare financial reports and present metrics and findings to senior management.

• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes. Review and analyze monthly financial statements.

• Develop and maintain divisional budgets and financial forecasts.

• Assist and/or prepare client/internal budgets and monitor actual expenses

• Assist in researching and collecting outstanding Division A/R; and review of A/P to resolve vendor issues.

• Review project financial information including A/R, billing, and cost for reasonableness.

• Work with Division management in the developing and reporting of strategic plans, goals, budgets, business planning, monthly/quarterly audits, and related financial information and monitor performance against these standards

• Provide financial and/or accounting input to estimating/preconstruction department for inclusion in bids and proposals

• Review the quality and timeliness of cost reports and field accounting information processed through Company systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.

• Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience required.

• EPC and/or Design/Build experience preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills and knowledge of computerized accounting systems.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
