This position works closely with the Division Administrator and takes the primary responsibility for managing the business operations of the division.
Assists Division Administrators/Division Heads in the development of the clinical, research and philanthropic budgets. Regularly monitors and reconciles activity of the operating budget, endowed chairs and philanthropic funds for accuracy and optimal utilization.
Managing payroll expenses to ensure all staff and faculty are allocated to the appropriate funds. Assists Division Administrators/Division Heads in efforts to maximize clinical revenue, including monitoring for effective charge capture and coding levels and addressing open encounters. Develop and implement methods and procedures to enhance business-related operations.
Leads improvement activities for the division such as the identification of new revenue opportunities. Analyzes, develops and disseminates reports to division providers on clinical/research activity, as applicable. Participates in projects, initiatives, and committees within the division, department and hospital as requested.
Collaborates with Physician Billing to provide education and training on division's billing and coding. Monitors and approves expenditures including supply orders and expense reimbursements. Other functions as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required and 1-3 years healthcare or relevant experience preferred. Master's degree preferred.
Strong analytical ability; proficiency in Excel; the ability to understand and interpret financial data; solid quantitative and qualitative skills. Ability to communicate effectively in a leadership role with clinical, business and administrative staff. Strong customer service skills. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
