  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or closely related field and 5 or more years of diversity and inclusion related experience, including preparation and implementation of training materials and diversity initiatives; metrics and analytics and collaborating across regions and functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage/work effectively in dynamic environment.

  • Strong computer proficiency (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to objectively coach employees and leaders through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.

  • The ability to research and analyze various types of data.

  • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.

What You'll Do

Working across business units and functions, the D&I Manager supports the center of excellence for the Stanley Black & Decker global D&I community through the development and implementation of best practice, knowledge management, leadership development and metrics.

  • Assist with the development of policies, practices and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce throughout Stanley Black & Decker on a global basis.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and University Relations to design, develop and implement innovative outreach programs using diversity and inclusion best practice in support of Stanley Black & Decker's strategic initiatives.

  • Track & report metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives implemented and prepares quarterly reports to leadership on the value of the initiatives, together with statistics on hiring, promotions, turnover.

  • Partner with Corporate Brand & Communications on internal & external web content and make proposals for improving the way SBD presents itself as an employer and promotes our inclusive policies as and supportive of diversity & inclusion.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion through consulting with Leadership, ERG's, associates and external vendors and uses evidence-based best practices to drive results.

  • Influences progress through the implementation and coordination of internal training and educational programs for both leaders and associates.

  • Provides benchmark and research analysis, including monitoring and reporting on diversity and inclusion topics and provides input to corporate wide survey.

  • Coordination of annual global diversity conference & annual recognition award process, including guest speakers, content and working groups.

  • Some travel may be expected.
