Responsible for the oversight of business resource network activities. Support the advancement and execution of the corporate diversity strategy. Partner with key stakeholders to engage internal and external partners, community outreach opportunities and internal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Diversity Center of Excellence support and oversight of the business resource networks, including monitoring adherence to guidelines, budget process, processing of invoices, collection of network monthly and quarterly recaps, reporting, planning and execution of meetings, network orientations and summits, and launching new networks. Aid networks in establishing network plans and goals that tie to enterprise objectives.

  • Provide oversight for the advisor networks, including monitoring adherence to guidelines, collection of network monthly and quarterly recaps, planning and execution of meetings, advisor network annual leadership meetings, execution of the annual survey and annual plan development.

  • Develop best practices through industry research and benchmarking to continue to enhance the Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the enterprise. Maintain relationships with Centers of Excellence (COEs), lines of business and Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) to increase diversity awareness, education and support the Diversity Center of Excellence initiatives throughout the enterprise.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop Diversity Center of Excellence events to help drive greater employee engagement and awareness of Diversity at Ameriprise. Lead the Executive Leadership Team Diversity Speaker series, the D&I Volunteer and Engagement Fair, Global D&I development day, and other business resource network events to develop an inclusive culture.

  • Partner with corporate communications and with other relevant functions across the enterprise (i.e. HR, Business Units) to engage all employees throughout the enterprise with clear and motivating D&I messaging and communications. Develop the annual Diversity Center of Excellence Communication plan in partnership with the Communications team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 5 to 7 years relevant experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong PowerPoint skills; ability to effectively develop and deliver presentations for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Experience and familiarity with diversity and inclusion efforts, Affirmative Action and the EEOC.

  • Proven ability to influence when necessary to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently.

  • Previous Human Resources experience and strong interest in Diversity and Inclusion.
