District Technology Director

Duties

Serve as the Henry-Senachwine School District #5 Technology Director. Henry-Senachwine School District #5 is comprised of two schools, Henry-Senachwine Grade/Junior High School (PK-8, approximate enrollment of 390 students) and Henry-Senachwine High School (9-12, approximate enrollment of 140 students). The District employs approximately 105 certified staff and support staff.

Key Responsibilities of the District Technology Director include:

1] Managing the District technology infrastructure

2] Strategic technology planning and inventory management

3] Integrating educational technology

4] Providing professional development and training of relevant technologies

5] Assisting with the management of the District technology budget

6] Managing District data and technology security

7] Providing oversight of applicable vendors

9] Providing technical support

10] Collaborating and communicating with District stakeholders

11] Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1] Minimum Associate's degree. Preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, education, or a related field.

2] Previous experience with educational technology and PK-12 schools is preferred, but not required.

3] Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, systems administration, and network security.

4] Knowledge of educational technology tools and resources

5] Effective management, collaboration, and communication skills

Salary/Benefits

12 month contract. Salary and benefits regionally competitive, to be determined by the Board of Education.
