OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time District Sales Support, you must have a strong interest in sales and enjoy working to support both internal sales personnel and external customers. Job tasks will support the district and will vary depending on the direction of the respective project or administrative support required.

This position will only be filled by an internal candidate and only in those Districts with a minimum of $2M/month in sales. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Assisting district and local sales personnel with sourcing and quoting, bid requests, auditing and general support, as needed

o Offering assistance with district and local customer implementation projects

o Helping provide marketing support to district and local sales personnel to help grow the customer base and maintain current customer levels

o Meeting expectations for customer service standards

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

o Possess at least 2 years of Fastenal work experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient computer skills

o Product knowledge

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time

o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess a degree in a Business/Marketing related field of study

o Prior experience or familiarity with material management programs, cost savings documentation and key account sales
