Due to our exceptional growth and success, we are recruiting for a District Sales Manager to join our team.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the management of all sales activities and revenues in a specified district. The District Sales Manager will assist Account Executives and Clinical Liaisons to implement district sales activities and achieve top-line revenues and is responsible for achieving sales objectives. The District Sales Manager will assist the Account Executives and Clinical Liaisons in identification of customers including physicians, hospitals, nursing companies and payors in the territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversees the activities of the Account Executives with dotted line supervision of Clinical Liaisons.

  • Demonstrates ability to integrate sales team into the branch and region. Assists in the coordination of BioScrip functions between and among operations staff and the sales team.

  • Assures coordination and synergy of the sales team. Organizes and chairs periodic BioScrip sales meetings.

  • Assists General Manager, or other members of management, in budget-development process. Takes responsibility for preparation, implementation and attainment of sales budgets.

  • Develops and maintains an effective level of communication between and among sales team and centers. Encourages open communication and verbalization of opinions.

  • Takes initiative to present ideas and suggestions to management.

  • Assists General Manager, Account Executives and Clinical Liaisons by participating in major sales calls.

  • Each employee is responsible for adhering to those performance programs, policies, procedures, guidelines and internal control standards established to guide the operation of the Company. Each employee must be made aware of and understand proper internal control procedures associated with their specific job function as communicated by his/her manager. Each employee is responsible for reporting concerns that he or she may have with respect to deficiencies in internal control.

  • Managers and supervisors are responsible for ensuring that internal controls are established and functioning to achieve the mission and objectives of their unit. Each employee within an area under the manager or supervisor's direction must be made aware of and understand proper internal control procedures associated with their specific job function.

  • Managers and supervisors must acknowledge that utilization of internal controls is an inherent part of a manager's responsibility, not a new or additional function, and assure that

  • internal controls are supportive of and consistent with the operating mandate and philosophy of the Company.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Account Executives with dotted line supervision of Clinical Liaisons.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree required with clinical or management emphasis. Master's degree preferred. Five years in-home infusion therapy experience preferred. Educational requirements may be waived in lieu of evidence of progressive growth in and attainment of the skills necessary to effectively manage a sales team. Must have valid driver's license and maintain a driving record which meets company's standards and must auto insurance in effect at all times.

  • Knowledge of infusion pharmacy reimbursement: state, federal and commercial.

  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.

  • Ability to develop and implement financial plans and manage resources.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to assume flexible work schedule and travel 40% of the time. Ability to travel overnight occasionally.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business information, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, managers, patients, employees, payors and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to read and interpret profit and loss statements. Ability to prepare budgets and revenue projections.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of abstract variables.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of two years' experience selling home infusion or related healthcare services.
