The position provides leadership to those staff assigned to the designated office and responsible for providing core inventory services to a broad array of local customers, and in so doing operates in a competitive, structured, energetic and demanding work environment. The position is responsible for successfully planning, organizing, coordinating and leading teams of inventory professionals during assigned inventory events, for meeting client expectations and for satisfying company.

Job Duties

  • Maximize Financial Performance -responsible for meeting, or exceeding the approved revenue and profit plan, and for analyzing monthly Profit & Loss statements (with an eye toward maximizing office net profit results by actively

managing on-going labor expenses).

  • Effective Employee Scheduling-Utilizes Results Based Forecasting (RBF) to effectively schedule team members on job assignments, based on availability, productivity, and skill level.

  • Talent Acquisition-Recruit new employees and build/maintain a pipeline of local, qualified applicants.

  • Leadership Development-Selects, develops, trains, monitors and provides general direction to subordinate managers to ensure successful performance of their principle duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • College degree, with an emphasis in business preferred.

  • Five years supervisory experience (multi-unit) preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to work with customers and colleagues at all levels.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Acceptable Driving Record-Meets or exceeds the requirements of the company's driving policy.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading project purchasing teams. Essential Responsibilities: 1)Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a purchasing organization to support company or project requirements. 2) Ability to implement prime contract requirements including those from Nuclear Regulatory requirements and FAR. 3) Exhibits the ability to supervise the performance of purchasing personnel at multiple locations. 4) Proficient in one or more areas of subcontracting, expediting, transportation, or warehousing preferred. 5) Participates with management in development of strategies and plans. 6) Assists in the analysis and utilization of estimates to predict key project issues. 7) Assists in the evaluation of business opportunities and potential profitability. 8) Assists the Project Manager in trouble-shooting and improving estimates. 9) Understands construction means, methods, and sequences. 10)Assumes mentoring and training roles as requested 11) Identifies and develops recommendations for improving technical expertise. 12) Develops training and development programs within an area of technical expertise. Conducts training sessions as appropriate. 13) Documents employee performance issues and participates in resolutions as appropriate. 14) Identifies and tracks action items. 15)Prepares and implements purchasing plans, staffing plans, and procedures for medium to large size projects. 16) Assigns tasks to the purchasing personnel and ensures conformance to budget and schedule. 17) Maintains information on trends that may impact purchasing budget or schedule, and ensures that project management is fully aware of the trends. 18) Determines types of agreements to be used for the materials required. 19) Reviews and approves negotiation strategy and leads or designates leaders for negotiation meetings. 20) Works with the Legal Department to determine prime contract flow-downs including those from the FAR, and to resolve supplier exceptions to terms and conditions. 21) Reviews and approves customer consent packages. 22) Reviews and approves purchase orders. 23) Resolves supplier disputes/claims. 24) Seeks appropriate counsel from management as required to meet complex project issues. 25) Analyzes project control reports relative to staff productivity and earned value, and takes appropriate action. 26) Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
