District Manager New England AreaThe Walking Company is re-defining comfort footwear with our focus on sophisticated technology and on trend styling. We have an opening for a District Manager in the New England area.

The Essential Functions To manage and maximize business strategies for specific store locations Accountable for developing store teams. increasing sales performance and focusing on improving the customer experience As a District Manager you will perform store visits to evaluate and identify opportunities to improve sales growth and customer service Build a team by networking and recruiting top talent Provide strategies and opportunities for retention by creating individual development plans and career paths. A District Manager will partner with the Regional Manager, VP of Retail and HR to investigate, access and resolve associate relations matters Assist in developing strategies to increase district sales, adjust payroll based on business trend and assure proper store staffing is align with the goals of the stores business Assure that your stores maintain and follow current company operating policies and procedures Establish weekly webinars to review goals and status to ensure your district profitability Work directly with key corporate partners to ensure your district meets merchandise needs. inventory and safety standards Maintain visual standards to assure proper branding of The Walking Company throughout your district Recommend and share any best practices to increase sales or save expenditures with your district, region and company Work with the training department to assure all training programs are utilized to motivate, train and challenge store associates to increase productivity and promote succession planning

The Qualities we admire most : 2 to 3 years of successful district management in better end retail environments Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels The District Manager must have the ability to identify top talent, train and develop those individuals towards growth, while increasing profitability. Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and any POS software Ability to organize your time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business and may require weekends and evenings Passion for health and wellness Travel will be required and overnight stay will be necessary 1-2 years business related college degree preferred, but not required
