Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the given geography meets or exceeds all sales targets and goals

  • Plans, directs, implements and oversees all sales force activities for a specific geographic region. Consistently achieve/exceed sales and budget targets and district quotas. Manage area teams to maximize their performance in accordance with Horizon Pharma sales plan and to advance organizational initiatives.

  • Recruits, hires and trains the Territory Managers (TM) and Senior Territory Sales Managers (Sr.TSMs) resulting in effective field sales representatives.

  • Sets a positive tone and high standard for the district area in terms of work ethic, culture, expectations, business ethics

  • Allocates and directs resource allocation within the geography to maximize results

  • Monitors sales trends and results looking for opportunities to improve

  • Works selected Regional managed care accounts to achieve reimbursement for Horizon products

  • Assesses competitive threats and takes appropriate action

  • Establishes pharmacy selling strategy for area

  • Maintains control of work flow and ensures successful implementation of all plans

  • Enforces Horizon work policies acting as a conduit to Human Resources (HR) and Compliance and Regulatory Functions

  • Provide real time customer feedback to the Horizon Home Office

  • Controls flow of work insure timely completion and follow up across the District

  • Demonstrates a tolerance for stress and the ability to make decisions quickly and assume risk in the face of uncertainty

Reporting Structure Solid and Dotted Line:

The DM reports to the Region Director (RD). This position also needs to work closely and effectively with Horizon Clinical Field Personnel, Sales Operations, Sales Training, Marketing and Managed Market Personnel.

Qualifications Required:

  • BA/BS required from 4 year state accredited college

  • 3+ years of Sales Management in Pharma Sales with demonstrated performance in top 15% of Region

  • Expert knowledge in the selling process and an ability to coach and develop others

  • Account Management experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, planning, performance management, problem solving and business acumen skills

  • Professional, proactive demeanor

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Maintaining a safe driving record

  • Strong Preference for experience in pain and inflammation markets

  • Strong Preference for previous B2B selling experience

  • Strong Preference for branded generic selling experience

Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) are seasonal, temporary, non-permanent full-time employees who perform the same duties as year-round Highway Maintainers. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair and upkeep of Illinois' roads, bridges and other related structures and features. However, the primary focus of this position is snow control. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) operate CDL Class A and B licensed vehicles, including maintenance trucks, tractors, snowplows, salt spreaders, compressors, jackhammers, and other highway equipment for the use of maintaining and snow plowing during the winter season. Also operating, wheel loaders, back hoe loaders, rollers, excavators, road graders and cranes, in repairing, replacing or patching concrete. Assists in servicing, washing, and performing minor repairs, such as oil and lubricant changes of equipment such as; trucks, tractors, snowplows, salt spreaders, compressors, graders, and other light highway equipment. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) promptly respond to emergency weather situations to inspect roadways and remove hazardous materials and obstacles. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) perform emergency snow and ice control, by operating snow plows to plow and remove snow, as well as by spreading salt and sand. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) perform labor relating to the maintenance of roadsides and right-of-ways, including cutting trees/brush, filling cracks/potholes, removing and disposing of trash, dead animals and debris along the highways. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) perform duties relating to the maintenance of roadways, including repairing, replacing and patching concrete bituminous and other road surfaces, as well as cleaning culverts, bridges, storm sewers, gutters, and other drainage facilities. Full-Time, Seasonal, Salaried Highway Maintainers (Monthly Snowbirds) perform routine housekeeping duties and other tasks associated with the general care of the headquarters' grounds. This is a union position subject to collective bargaining and fair share dues. Minimum Requirements:Applicants must possess a valid Class 'A' or 'B' Commercial Drivers' License with an 'N' or 'X' endorsement and non-restrictive air brakes.
