District Leaders oversee a business portfolio of Center Directors, providing them with the tools they need to succeed. This critical leadership position drives the quality and consistency our families experience in our centers across their district to maximize customer acquisition and retention. This is a multi-unit field leadership role, responsible for 10-15 centers and more than $10M in revenue.

As a District Leader you will:

  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and engage a highly talented team of Center Directors and teaching staff.

  • Drive consistent focus on quality, accreditation, and educational excellence throughout your district.

  • Nurture customer relationships throughout the market while driving and supporting sound business decisions with children and families in mind.

  • Manage a business portfolio, identify sales opportunities, and drive business decisions to maximize revenue, customer retention and acquisition.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a successful multi-unit leader

  • Ability to identify, develop, retain and engage a high-performing team

  • Strong business acumen; ability to drive financial results and identify sales opportunities

  • Leadership experience in a customer and talent focused environment

  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day

You will oversee and manage the performance of assigned Area Sales Managers. Additionally, you'll monitor, analyze, and communicate sales data to contribute to product/service planning, establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to prospective sales and research and develop lists of potential customers. With your Area Sales Managers, you'll make targeted sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads, perform regular customer reviews and work with sales support and staff to establish an on-going communication path with the customer that ensure future sales opportunities. Develop and prepare Area Sales Managers for career advancement. Ensure that the sales organization is appropriately staffed and managed to minimize turnover. Review Area Sales Managers performance to plan regularly, and institute performance improvement or disciplinary measures as needed. * Research, develop and maintain long and short range sales plans. Determine market strategies and uses for each product and service. * Oversee the communication and execution of company policies within the confines of the sales department. * Assist in planning district sales meetings and events with Marketing and Purchasing departments. Coordinate product cuttings and demonstrations. Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on products & services. Do market research to determine customer needs and provide information to staff. * Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and product developments that affect target markets. Evaluate product mix in terms of meeting customers' needs. * Submit and administer yearly street sales operating plan and yearly operating budget. Review and approve street sales related expenses, credits, and contracts. * Understand and utilize the Star Performance and Catalyst5 tools and processes to grow sales, generate additional revenue, and maintain customer service standards. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities. * Must have proficient computer skills, should be well-experienced with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
