Job Description:

The District Asset Protection Manager at OSJL plays a key role in safeguarding the organization's stores. Through training and program implementation, this role champions a safe working environment and minimizes loss from shrink, theft, and fraud. This role conducts regular store visits, leads investigations, and collaborates with store leadership on best practices for asset protection. This role provides a dynamic opportunity to ensure the safety and security of associates, customers, and Company assets across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and coach store teams on Asset Protection ("AP") and Safety programs.

  • Conduct regular store visits to identify and address AP and safety concerns, including, but not limited to:

  • Focusing on injury and accident reduction opportunities.

  • Investigating accidents and implementing preventative measures.

  • Completing audits and ensuring corrective actions.

  • Leading internal investigations into theft and fraud.

  • Analyzing inventory data to improve accuracy and reduce shrink.

  • Support new store openings with security assessments, AP training, and security system setup.

  • Assist store leadership in emergencies and maintain positive relationships with law enforcement and emergency services.

  • Collaborate with District Team Leaders and Regional Operations Directors on safety, security, and investigations.

  • Partner with store leadership on AP issues, to include:

  • Safety and security protocols.

  • Inventory accuracy and shrink management.

  • Theft and fraud prevention.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Response.

  • Onboard new store leaders with Safety and AP training and ensure they understand procedures for protecting assets.

  • Maintain store security by monitoring and maintaining physical security equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • An Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred.

  • 5 or more years of experience in multi-store Asset Protection Management is required.

  • Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Drive, Docs, Sites, Slides, Sheets).

  • Must satisfactorily pass the requirements of a background check and drug test.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

  • Must have strong investigative skills to detect and develop information on internal and external theft activity in the assigned district.

  • Must have strong analytical skills to assess exception reporting and Point Of Sale reports to detect theft activity.

Work Environment:

  • Duties are performed across a range of stores, Company properties, and assigned locations in a designated market. The market may change according to Company size and need.

  • Travel may be required to multiple stores in a given week, including travel to two or more stores in a single day. This necessitates driving in a vehicle for extensive periods of time in varying weather conditions. Some travel outside of the assigned market and to the Corporate Office is periodically required.

  • Individuals must have the ability to move around the sales floor in a retail environment for an extended period of time.

  • Conditions for performing job functions will change, depending on the constraints of each store location, as well as internal and external environmental conditions. Some work in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Some sedentary, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.

The annual Salary Range for this position is between $68,000-$72,000. Salary is commensurate with years of experience.
