Under direct supervision, receives orders for blood and blood products (including BioCARE), prepares blood and blood products for delivery, and delivers those products to customers.


Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Is responsible for bringing compliance issues to the attention of management.

Assures quality customer service to all customers.

Receives and prepares routine and special orders for blood products and services. Receives, inspects and determines acceptability of blood components. Releases blood components from observation.

Unpacks tested and untested products and routes samples for accessioning. Performs boxing and destruction of unacceptable products.

Assures accuracy of all manual and computer generated records including secondary review of assigned forms.

Monitors all storage equipment and updates applicable records and charts. Performs quality control of storage equipment and shipping procedures. Assists with corrective action for unscheduled storage alarms and documentation of equipment maintenance, as needed.

Assists with training.

Maintains Hospital Services equipment, vehicles, and work area.

Performs inventory of blood products.

Performs document control of department manuals and forms.

Prepares and labels blood components. Maintains records and performs computer entry.

Performs irradiation or transfer of blood components to an outside irradiation facility.

Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.


Knowledge/ Education

High school graduate or GED required.

Licenses/ Certifications



One year experience as a Hospital Services Tech or related experience required.

Skills/ Abilities

Good communication and customer relations skills in order to deal effectively with customers.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, reach and sit.

Detail oriented to ensure accuracy on paperwork.

Computer skills required.

Must be able to work on-call, various shifts including evenings and weekends, and overtime.

Must possess a good driving record.

Able to work independently.

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-11T00:00 Business Portfolio Manager – Telecom Media Distribution Solutions Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate to manage an elite portfolio of strategic AWS technology partners focused on the Media and Entertainment distribution space within telecommunications segment. Your job will be to use these strategic partners to develop media distribution solutions on AWS infrastructure and platform. Responsibilities will include creating and driving executive-level and field relationships with major telecom infrastructure providers and with the AWS sales field, guiding the development and launch of joint solutions, and executing joint GTM plans globally. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships while managing the day-to-day partner interactions, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall market adoption. The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a business development background that enables them to manage joint GTM efforts. This person should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in the telecoms industry. Ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for the jointly developed solutions with is a must. The position requires a strong technical acumen and deep familiarity with (1) telecom service provider environment, (2) cloud and datacenter/hosting infrastructure business in a major global service provider, and (3) media distribution solutions (triple/quad play service, content distribution, 4K/HD video delivery middleware, etc.) Additionally, the position will require strong commercial understanding of the business models of telecom Service providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, BT, Telefonica etc. Key Responsibilities: * Work with multiple sales and technical teams within both AWS and global technology solution providers for media distribution layer to define and execute joint technology, marketing and sales initiatives. * Serve as a key member of the AWS technology alliance and solutions team focused on Telecommunications segment, to define and deliver the overall go-to-market strategy. * Engage each technology solution provider's field sales organizations, channels and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS. * Ensure that there is a strategic business development plan for target markets and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction. This includes the creation of detailed account plans to track partner progress and achievement to goals. * Set and manage revenue targets and work with your team, each partner and AWS sales organizations to achieve/exceed goals. * Create and execute the team's business plan with key internal stakeholders (e.g. service teams, marketing, PR, legal, support, etc.). * Identify joint customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS. * Understand the technical/business requirements of each telco service provider's media distribution strategy and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of our product offerings with individual technology solution providers. * Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team. * Manage complex negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group. * Create and execute operational rigor including territory management, account management, segment plans, and business reviews (internal/external).
