Children#s Hospital of New Orleans is a leader in Pediatric care throughout the Southeast region. We are seeking a dynamic Distribution Tech in the Materials Management Department.

The mission of making care available to all children has allowed Children#s to grow as an organization. Children#s Hospital is a not-for-profit medical center offering the most advanced pediatric care for children from birth to 21 years. With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians, it is the only full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South.

We invite you to experience the magic of Children#s Hospital. # This individual stands and walks most of the day in the warehouse. Must be able to lift, pull, push and bend to arrange supplies and equipment on and off carts and shelves. Organizes, inventories and replenishes supply carts/bulk areas to par level.

Delivers supplies to units as scheduled. Data entry and filing skills required.


WORK SCHEDULE:


Work schedule requires the ability to work rotating shifts (Days, and rotating Evenings until 7). Individual will be required to work in the event there is a hurricane. POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Tech is responsible for the processing and distribution of supplies and equipment from Central Supply to various hospital departments.# Responsibilities include maintaining supply and equipment PAR levels, the rotating stock, processing and delivering special requests, performing various inventory counts, distribution of code carts, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: # Education:## High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: One (1) year of experience working with any of the following: shipping, receiving, picking, logistics, distribution, warehousing, inventory management; preferred. # Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Basic understanding of supply chain fundamentals. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new skills. Customer Service oriented with a problem-solving attitude. # POSITION DUTIES:# Unloads, sorts, counts, and verifies incoming supplies. Receives, delivers, and processes express packages in a timely and efficient manner using electronic handhelds. Maintains Inventory in Storerooms and PAR Locations. Ensures supplies are accurately charged out and delivered. Assists with Cycle Counts, Shelf Audits, and Inventories as Assigned.
