What we are looking for:

We are hiring a Distribution Supervisor for our manufacturing facilities in the West Memphis, AR area. If you consider yourself someone who is: Responsible for managing the distribution of products to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and customer service at the least possible cost. This role will oversee the day-to-day execution of successful movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods through the facility and loading and unloading of frozen food products.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforces safety guideline and rules, General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP checks, food safety requirements and all company policies

  • Ensures compliance with all company safety and fleet policies and procedures

  • Coordinates truck loading/unloading and ensures it is done in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that all materials are stored in accordance with temperature requirements. Maintains accurate stock rotation

  • Requests or performs maintenance on facilities and equipment

  • Ensures cycle counting and month end inventory is conducted for inventory records accuracy.

  • Works with Deployment and the Demand teams to ensure fill rate standards are met while meeting inventory level expectations

  • Ensure that all material handling and transportation equipment is properly maintained.

  • Works with 3rd parties to meet contractual obligations

  • Supervises, trains and develops subordinates, if applicable

  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

Years of Related Experience: Typically 3-5 years of experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • General knowledge of Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Inventory Record Accuracy, Cycle Counting Procedures, Inventory Control Procedures, Food Safety Requirements, Warehousing and distribution.

  • Knowledgeable of Bills of material and Auditing Control Functions.

  • Understanding of federal, state and local agency regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.) to prevent legal exposure.

  • Knowledgeable of bills of material and auditing control functions.

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

  • Good math and communication skills.

  • Good working maintenance knowledge of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in order to detect maintenance problems.

  • Good working knowledge of truck loading operation, yard operations, and reefer unit type trailers.

  • Strong supervisory skills. Uses professional acumen to communicate business impacts with partners.

  • Good working knowledge of truck loading operation, yard operations, and reefer unit type trailers.

  • Able to operate yard tractor while pulling empty and loaded trailers.

  • Able to learn distribution/transportation software systems.

  • Willing to obtain forklift license within the probationary period.

  • Must meet the Federal Department of Transportation eligibility requirements, including appropriate driver's license and corresponding medical certification as a condition of employment for this position.

  • Able to travel 10-15%

Position Information Class Code: T070C Grade: GS04 FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT Salary Range: $29,046.00 - $42,117.00 Summary The Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) / Department of Community Correction (DCC) Food Preparation Supervisor is responsible for the supervising food service personnel, directing food service activities, monitoring security and safety practices, coordinating the production and serving of food, and ordering supplies. Functions Supervises food production and/or food service staff by recommending for hire/termination, assigning work, reviewing work assignments, training employees, and evaluating the performance of incumbents.
