Supervise Distribution to ensure that safety, quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained.
Provide direct daily supervision of Warehouse Technicians to ensure safe, accurate, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse.
Full ownership of all receiving, stocking, inventory, pick, pack, and ship operations.
Develop and implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments. Pre-plan for each shift using historical productivity metrics to determine the labor resources needed.
Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching and disciplining employees.
Direct and supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion. Be on the warehouse floor to answer questions, evaluate operations and solve problems.
Continuously improve processes and warehouse operations.
Interact with other departmental management to achieve goals. Attend facility wide and warehouse specific operations meetings.
Ensure all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timey basis and effectively maintained, organized and filed.
Review operating goals and standards and monitor achievement.
Supervise the checking of outgoing and incoming shipments for proper counts, codes and Metrc tags.
Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed and own employee safety and drive towards becoming a zero-accident facility.
Review warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat and well organized and damage to product, equipment and the facility is prevented. Operate in compliance with all OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Maintain stock locator system. Ensure proper stock rotation while taking into consideration FIFO strategy and product aging. Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required.
Own SOP development and training plan within area of responsibility.
Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively.
Assist in developing and maintaining the operational budget as required.
Communicate issues to appropriate departments and Sr. Leadership in a timely fashion.
Monitor Individual and team performance, including writing and presenting annual reviews and new team member assessments.
Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.
