Eaton's Electrical Product Group is seeking a Distribution Supervisor at its Residential Wiring and Devices Distribution Center in Charlotte, NC.

Position Overview:

The 2nd shift Distribution Supervisor coordinates the workflow processes in a fast paced, multi-functional distribution center. This position reports directly to the site Distribution Operations Manager and provides leadership to approximately 20 hourly employees in our distribution center and packaging center, helping to deploy initiatives throughout the facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead associates by creating a common vision and understanding of the organization's strategy, as well as enhancing associate commitment through the celebration of individual and group achievements.

  • Manages team leads and associates for the packaging and picking departments to ensure timely distribution of product.

  • Directs teams to achieve prescribed objectives.

  • Applies sound communication and motivational techniques, creates programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates.

  • Review continuous improvement opportunity for packaging and picking areas to and implement changes that enhance product flow.

  • Maximize efficiency of associates and productivity of work flow by allocating resources effectively to ensure timely completion of all production processes.

  • Provide required resources needed to respond to workload variances.

  • Monitor and enhance individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching and counseling to reach required results.

  • Instruct, maintain and improve 5S practices throughout the facility.

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed or currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations

  • Minimum 1 year of prior leadership experience leading people or project teams

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates located within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing experience

  • Prior experience with 5s, Lean, Six Sigma Certification

  • Prior Distribution experience is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools

  • Prior experience with SAP

Position Criteria

  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills in a team environment

  • Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to drive results

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proven training and associate development skills are a must with a strong emphasis on team building

Supervises daily preparation and dispensing of all pharmaceuticals. Essential Functions * Complies in all activities with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements for a specific practice setting. * Approves PTO's and makes monthly schedules for employees. * Provides responses to requests for drug information from health care providers and patients. * Evaluates the usefulness of biomedical literature gathered and formulates responses to drug information requests based on analysis of the literature. * Provides medication-use education and counseling to patients and caregivers. * Provides accurate shift to shift communication regarding unsolved situations requiring future action. * Coordinates implementation of new services between pharmacy and nursing departments. * Performs Medical Office Building and community outreach to build awareness of CMC Rx services and promote business. * Builds and updates computer files of predefined order sets and complexes for order efficiency. * Alerts pharmacy materials coordinator or manager concerning drug shortages and problems; assists pharmaceutical buyer in maintaining proper inventory levels. * Builds the information base needed to design a medication therapy regimen. * Determines the presence of medication therapy problems in patient's current medication therapy. * Provides in-service education to physicians, nurses, and other practitioners. * Collects and analyzes data specified in a DUE and formulates recommendations for corrective action. * Observes the MAR for accuracy and proper documentation and reconciles discrepancies. * Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. * Assists in the use of investigational drug products (EDS) according to established protocols. * Interprets the appropriateness of a medication order, prepares and dispenses medications using appropriate techniques. * Utilizes pharmacy support personnel effectively, checks the accuracy of the work, prioritizes and organizes the workload. Physical Requirements Works primarily in the pharmacy. Delivers medications to nursing units. Requires considerable walking, standing, pushing mobile cart of 50 pounds maximum and lifting 25 pounds of material. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel to perform job. Exposure to cancer chemotherapy agents. Otherwise, hazards are very minor such as minor cuts, bruises, and non-contaminated needle pricks. Exposed to various conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs and changes in temperature and humidity. Must be able to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing, and data entry into the computer and automated dispensing machines. Must have use of both hands, be able to see clearly and read small type such as that on unit-dose medication packages and syringes. Must be able to speak and be understood by others. Must be able to hear normal sounds with moderate background noises. Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD required. North Carolina License or eligible for reciprocity required. 2 years work related experience in pharmacy is required. Must have highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a leadership role preferred.
