Distribution Supervisor (11154)

There are two separate start times for this position 5:00 am & 7:00 am. Please state which shift you prefer in the application.

Jasco is looking for a Distribution Supervisor that directly supervises Coordinators and Distribution Center team members. Performs a variety of duties related to warehouse prioritization, prioritizing, verification, and distribution of customer orders, shipping, and receiving. Make recommendations for purchases of capital items or additional employees to fulfill the Distribution goals. No Budgetary responsibilities.

• Directs and coordinates activities and efforts in Distribution Center in order to achieve accurate and timely staging and shipment of customer orders.

• Reviews and prioritizes outbound shipments on a daily basis.

• Coordinates sorting, verification, wrapping, staging, and loading outbound shipments in order to optimize expenses and work towards our sustainability goals.

• Responsible for ensuring that the distribution of all orders are in compliance with customer vendor compliance manuals.

• Ensures all shipments are made within shipping dates.

• Works closely with coordinators and managers to maintain/improve steady and seamless flow of product from receipt through final distribution.

• Interviews, evaluates and manages assigned Team Members

• Works upstream and downstream to optimize our supply chain. This may include coordination with customer support, product management, purchasing, carriers, and customers.

• Calculates, approves, and records time worked, paid or unpaid time off and vacation time paid for team members and temporary employees.

• Trains, motivates, leads, and serves other group members in order to maintain high levels of team work and morale.

• Encourages and facilitates quality improvement in areas of process and organization

Qualifications

The position is located in a warehouse environment. Team member must have the ability to move about an office or building. Team member may be exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards and must lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and 60 lbs. occasionally.

An Associate's degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years previous experience in inventory/warehouse is required, warehouse supervision experience is preferred.

Knowledge of operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, computer operations and statistics. Skills in organization, supervision, scheduling and process development. Ability to lead in a team environment, establish and achieve departmental goals and objectives. Ability to read books, articles, memos, quotes, correspondence and instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including figure measurements and dimensions, fractions, and decimals. Ability to write explanations of inventory adjustments, correspondence by E-Mail, memos, carton markings, freight bills, packing lists, and shipping documents. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, inventory handling equipment and hand-held tools.
