The Distribution Operations Specialist - Protection Division provides direct business support to the BGA sales management teams. This position reports to the 2VP, Distribution Operations. This is a high-demand role, providing relationship support, project management coordination, sales strategy coordination, and administrative support. This individual will serve as a liaison between sales leadership and other company departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Internal partner and point of contact for BGA sales management team (channel heads and account managers)

  • Acts as an extension/proxy and advocate for the channel head and account manager maintaining a holistic view and responsibility with the relationship and in the home office; is the face and voice of the company where account manager or channel head can't or is not

  • As proxy of distribution leader, responsible to ensure all deliverables are met, either individually or through other functions

  • Responsible for new relationship onboarding, working with the many functions who have roles to support/compliment this, (e.g. marketing, operations, etc.)

  • Owns or facilitates:

  • Selling agreement execution

  • Commission updates

  • Commercial launches (e.g. new product launch)

  • Channel business plan development and budget support

  • Marketing campaign/marketing piece approval and distribution lists

  • Special projects, which are Distribution focused

  • Relationship facing communication

  • Key meetings (planning/developing content, tracking action items, ensuring deliverables are met, communicating updates)

  • Utilizes problem solving/critical thinking to identify and streamline operational inefficiencies

  • Effectively manage necessary system updates (e.g. wholesaler zip code alignment data, territory mapping, etc.) and delivers required reporting

  • May support special "cross-channel" or other channel initiatives

Qualifications and Key Skills Required:

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Customer focused with a high sense of urgency and professionalism

  • Innate multi-tasker with high attention to detail, prioritization and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, accountability for results, comfortable holding others accountable

  • Strong working Distribution and/or sales process knowledge

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • Flexibility to travel on an "as needed" basis to meetings and conferences

  • 2+ years' experience in Life Insurance & Annuity industry

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree required, health/life license preferred
