The distribution manager at Geoprobe® is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the distribution center operations. We seek to be an asset to our customers through accuracy, timely responses, and same day shipping.  Being an asset to our customers is at the core of what we do, requiring us to be nimble to meet their needs. The distribution manager will lead a team of employees and work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and effective distribution processes. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize distribution operations. This requires an individual to pivot quickly using interpersonal savvy to navigate competing requests. 

Responsibilities  

  • Set overall vision and yearly objectives. Manage operations to achieve these goals. 
  • Hire & train team members as needed. Cross train personnel to optimize employee’s talents allowing them to grow in knowledge, capability, and market value. 
  • Monitor team members performance and provide feedback for improvement. 
  • Streamline processes with a view of improving customer and team experience. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas to improve, developing plans to meet business objectives. 
  • Assist in inventory management activities including storing, rotating, and handling supplies. 
  • Prioritize, multitask, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment

Skills 

  • Mechanical ability 
  • SAP experience preferred
