Discover Impactful Work:
Responsible for daily operations, system checks, PMs and repairs of utilities equipment and processes to prevent unscheduled down time along with daily communication with Engineering Management to accomplish proper maintenance priorities.
A day in the Life:
Maintain and repair conveyor and other warehouse equipment including electronic motors.
Repair PLC processors, electronic sensors, ie photo eyes and IO cards.
Trouble shoot and handle preventative maintenance contracts.
Read blueprints and schematics.
Assist the supervisor in maintaining a safe, injury-free work environment.
Maintain parts, usage and repair logs
Formulate time and work schedules to coincide with the needs of productions
Generate and prepare maintenance files for all equipment in the facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Keys to Success:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical Associate degree
Experience
2+ years mechanical maintenance experience
Conveyor Mechanic; experienced repairing Dymatic conveyors
Maintaining Power Lift equipment and Batteries throughout facility
Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC experience a plus
Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
General warehousing experience preferred
Worker should have or be willing to obtain forklift certification and prior experience operating a powered industrial truck.
Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently and posses problem solving abilities.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Walk and stand up to six (6) hours at a time, up to 8 hours a day, with frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting at waist, and climbing ladders. General physical requirements include lifting, standing, climbing and hand manipulations. Arrive to work on time and work during scheduled work hours, working additional overtime as needed. Report any actual or potential safety hazards to management. In addition, other duties may be assigned as needed.
