Principal Accountabilities::

Under direct supervision:* Support the Supply Chain department to fulfill customer orders by completing assigned tasks

  • Perform tasks in the allotted timeframe in accordance to the quality procedures and established safe work standards of facility

  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner

  • Transfer between functions within department as directed by the supervisor on an as needed basis

Knowledge & Skill Requirements::

  • High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate's degree preferred

  • One year of experience preferred

Knowledge & Application::

  • Basic level of education will be required; reading, writing, and basic numeracy

  • Required to follow simple instructions

  • No formal occupational training required

  • Non-office based roles may operate some simple equipment under guidance and instruction

Problem Solving::

  • Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available

  • All nonstandard problems will be referred to supervisor or more experienced incumbent

  • Solutions are obvious or there are a finite number of clear-cut alternatives

  • Solutions can be reached and applied immediately

This department performs functional tests on Electronics and Ordnance products. The department also performs integrated system tests. This position will also be called upon to assist the engineering group in the development of test plans for engineering and the manufacturing group in the development of test plans for manufacturing and to manage and expedite those test programs. Provides technical expertise in testing and product knowledge. * Define, refine, and maintain processes, methods, and plans for testing hardware and finished product and verifies that product operates as designed. * Reports test results and reports problems and issues into the failure database * Ensure proper documentation of the architecture, definitions, and test plans. Contribute to the documentation of the plans, including specifications and block diagrams. * Seek and evaluate components for use in testing the company's products. Ensure that the best components are used. Make reasoned recommendations and assist in business decisions related to selection of core components or suppliers * Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing * Provides technical expertise on specific products, operating systems and specialized environments * Conduct reviews for designs, plans, and methods * Writes or assists in the development of test plans and test procedures * Document and implement standards for testing * Completes assigned test-related tasks * Assists in the automation of relevant test procedures * Assists in review of test processes as they are developed * Work to maintain the schedules for completion of all projects relating to test engineering * Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline * New Grads, 0 - 5 years of experience, preferred * Knowledge of ordnance products a plus * Experience with automated testing tools * Familiarity with testing methodologies and the defect reporting process * Computer skills required; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools * Good communication skills, both written and verbal * Good problem solving skills Gordian California MD
