Currently, we have an opportunity for Distribution Engineer for electric utility design engineering.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have an interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards. Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment. Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems.

Project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices. Assignments may also include: preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, estimating costs, and customer advocacy such as acquiring easements. Work assignments will include travelling by motor vehicle to various project locations located throughout the area to conduct field investigations.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering degree (EE or CE preferred) is required and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with less than 2+ years: relevant experience is either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering

  • Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and client construction standards

  • Experience using CAD tools

  • Experience with software such as: PoleForeman, SAP, Microstation

  • Must be comfortable in both a field and office setting

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds

  • Must be able to walk up to 2 miles on unpaved surfaces

  • Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation

o (Local customer/job related travel is anticipated and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with distribution design: reconductoring projects, voltage conversion projects, distribution automation projects, new business projects

  • Fundamentals of Engineer certification

This role will be the main point of contact for the facility's systems and act as the overall "help desk" for all PC related issues. The QA Administrator will lead the facility's food safety, OSHA, and sanitation programs - ensuring that insurance, organic certifications and other Whole Foods Market policies and procedures are adhered to.Responsibilities * Manage local PC network, Printer, Fork Computer Units, Handheld scanners, and Voice units. * Set up Windows and EXE users and associates, determine security levels for users. * Help support Distribution Center users with PeopleSoft, Orderlink, Warehouse Management System. * Act as the facility "help-desk" and liaison to the Central Help Desk and DAS team. * Maintain and modify Microsoft Access programs. * Purchase and maintain Smart cell phones. * Perform regular PC Maintenance including virus updates and software upgrades. * Work with DAS Team to coordinate testing of patches and fixes to PeopleSoft, Orderlink and EXE. * Manage and maintain system equipment such as label printers and equipment supplies. * Train new and current Team Members on phone usage, Microsoft Office Programs, PeopleSoft, Orderlink and EXE, Voxware and InfoLink. * Operates powered pallet jack/forklift in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods regulations to unload and move product. * Accountable for developing, maintaining and auditing food safety systems for the Distribution Center. * Ensure that vendors are in compliance with all Regulatory and Whole Foods Market Quality standards/specifications. * Implement and assist in modifying operational audit programs to review vendor compliance to Whole Foods Market policies and procedures. * Responsible for reviewing and appraising vendor compliance and partnering with vendors who need assistance in becoming compliant. * Examine and analyze records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to ensure compliance and processes are being followed. * Review results of audits performed by third party on behalf of Whole Foods Market. * Coordinate and assist in the scheduling of audits. * Provide assistance to external auditors as necessary. * Work with and support other functions in the DC such as buyers, accounting, etc. and closely with the inventory control team to monitor inventory movements – including recalls, provide feedback to leadership concerning possible problems or areas of improvement, and partner with Sanitation and Safety Teams at the distribution center to assist in continued leadership in food safety initiatives. * Monitor GMP's, SSOPs and appropriate product handling and employee hygiene and building sanitation. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision * Understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking principles * Technical knowledge in HACCP, ISO, Quality Systems, Federal/State and International food safety regulations.
