Description of the Position:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation. The DCM provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development.
Responsibilities:
Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.
Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment, and property.
Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime, and retention.
Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action, and training needs.
Participates in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.
Reviews KPIs and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements to both processes and associate performance.
Establishes a strong relationship with the customer(s).
Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports.
Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customer.
Know and be capable of communicating quality, food safety, and customer standards to all employees, customers, and 3rd party auditors as needed.
Follow corporate and site-specific safety policies and procedures, and correct noncompliance when observed

Salary for fully qualified candidate - $125,000-$135,000/annually
