Distribution Associate (100% On-Site In Pelham, AL)

The Distribution Associate is an experienced position responsible for unloading and verifying shipments, as well as picking, loading, and sorting outbound shipments in the warehouse.

What You Do

• Unloads incoming shipments, verifying to ensure correct quantity and labeling matches inbound paperwork

• Inspects all inbound shipments for freight damage and reports any damages to appropriate parties

• Picks, packs, and loads customer orders following established processes

• Returns all misplaced and erroneously pulled items to proper bin location

• Maintains proper stack height and organization of all products

• Consolidates bin locations

What You Bring

• At least one year of warehouse experience required

• Experience using warehouse equipment such as hand truck, dolly, and/or pallet jack required

• Proficiency in Warehouse Management System and Datascope required

• Knowledge of basic mathematical arithmetic and diagram reading

• Ability to perform warehouse duties such as picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and receiving

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to stand and perform heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds unassisted) for entire duration of shift, with and/or without equipment

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols

• Maintain flexibility regarding job assignments and assisting other departments

• Ability to work core hours of Monday through Friday with some overtime expected based off of the needs of the business.
