ABOUT THE TEAM

This position reports to the Director of Allocation on the J.Crew Factory team. As a Distribution Analyst, you would provide support in creating, managing, and executing sales and inventory plans from investment through allocation at the product/category/item level. The Distribution Analyst is responsible for providing to the teams relevant data and analysis throughout the product lifecycle.

Financial Planning

  • Forecasting:
  • Provide data and recommendations to influence the development of department/class level plans

  • Assist in the development of department/class level allocation strategies

  • Develop and execute strategies for packing, pre-packs, size balancing and inventory balancing

Plan Management

  • Allocation:
  • Support in-season management of department/class level plans including ongoing assessments and updates

  • Execute initial inventory releases

  • Ensure receipt accuracy to support in-season allocation strategies

  • Execute in-season price strategies, store level exceptions, and new store allocations

  • Forecast inbound/outbound inventory to drive in-stock and to manage DC/store payroll

Business Process Management-Supply Chain Operations:

  • Execute allocation and replenishment of Basics managed thru demand forecasting and management tools, as required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data

  • Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math

  • Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions

  • Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills

  • 1-2 years work experience, preferred

Specifically attending to their experience presale, pending and post-sale (policy holder service). Work with sales channel leaders to build a training and education plan tied to goals for adoption and activity. For example, Liquidity, Lifestyle and Legacy; 3 hallmarks in a client's life that life insurance can offer a solution. * Life insurance isn't the first thing our advisors think about. It is hard and confusing. It starts with a good first impression. Be on point for licensing, continuing education considerations and gaps in health licensure for LTC, provide thought leadership on licensing software or comparable solution. * Vet and participate with others in the process of evaluating software and technology solutions that should be part of the life insurance platform specifically as it pertains to advisor and client experience. * Gather and help the team navigate data about advisors, client segments, and geography. Particularly, around how we will build and deploy a sales dream team. * Have a savviness around solutions that are available, best practices and competitive landscape. E.g. Automation, streamlined underwriting, big data, etc. * Management reporting. Build measuring sticks for how we are doing. Establish KPIs and regularly report on them in conjunction with our business consulting team. * This person's priority will be to identify, account for, anticipate and extend solutions to, every touch point in the process of procuring life insurance through the JPMC Life platform. * Work closely with the other members of the life insurance team (and often annuity counterparts), carrier partners, BGA strategic alliances, software vendors, or others who have the privilege to work with our clients as the ambassador of our advisors and clients. Managing their connectivity with our advisors and clients. Ensuring the leadership of the LOBs understands and is informed about impacts, additions and changes to the offering/process/platform. * Seek to understand the nuance and personality of each line of business (LOB). Participate in delivering the solutions through the preferred methods of distribution. * More than being informed, be able to depict the experience for our stakeholders and control; candidate must understand life insurance product, distribution, flow of commissions, all customer facing job functions. * At every turn, bring to light the plan and execution of the plan for reducing friction and where we have no control over a "Friction Full" touchpoint, assess what the education, expectation setting, workaround, solution, etc., is and hard-wire this into our operating model. * Be able to work in the "heavy lifting" of the solution to the improvement of customer experience. For example, manage a punch-list at all times, and quarterback the solution with other parts of the firm. * Liaise with the partners inside and outside of the firm to execute on the distribution of life insurance products to all LOBs. * Leverage carrier relationships to improve any and all things around the platform, value proposition, client experience, etc. * Be a resourceful and advocate for our mission; remember this is a First Class operation. Requirements: This candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of life insurance experience, preferably in a multi-carrier environment.
