QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of 6 months of related work experience required.

  • Experience within the Waste industry, transportation, or logistics is preferred.

  • Previous customer service experience in a call center environment preferred.

  • Good telephone and 2-way radio skills; ability to deal with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Computer proficiency- MS Office and Typing Skills,

  • Ability to react well under pressure and treat others with respect

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities;

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team

They will be responsible for the costeffective use of resources including contractors, equipment, and supplies andwill assign motor vehicles and drivers forconveyance of freight by performing the following: Responsibilities Responsible for the supervision of assignedOwner Operators to ensure the highest possible utilization within DOTregulations and company policy; responsible for the efficient planning of OwnerOperators to enable high production out of each unit and ensure on-timedelivery performance for customers; complete all dispatch computer work in theTL2000 system in a real-time environment; monitor and handle all daily checkcalls by assigned Owner Operators and ensure the Owner Operators are incompliance with company policy; monitor and communicate all service failures ofassigned owner operators to the Director of Operations and the Customer ServiceTeam; liaison all Safety and compliance issues regarding assigned OwnerOperators to the Safety department to be sure Owner Operators remain in DOTcompliance; assist with recruiting efforts as necessary, including but notlimited to, interviewing Owner Operator applicants, attending job fairs, etc.;interface with Safety Department to address performance issues; authorizeT-Check advances and ensures proper procedures are followed; approve settlementcorrections as necessary; provide complete load information to ensure OwnerOperators are fully prepared for their next work assignment; Assist in therecruiting and orientation process ensuring all new hires meet all companyminimum qualification standards and regulatory agency requirements; responsibleand accountable for owner operator performance issues; participate in Safetyfunctions and Company events; responsible for scanning all relevant shippingdocuments; manages night and weekend operations on a rotation schedule; recordthe daily hours of service and monitor daily and weekly to ensure DOTcompliance; maintain files and monitor repairs on rail and non-rail equipment;maintain close communication with FECHS customer base. Qualifications * Must be familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, issued by the U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration; safety rules and instructions; in-bond regulations for customs. * Able to handle multiple tasks in a high profile and fast paced environment * Able to perform computer function in a real time environment; proficient in multi-line telephone with strong telephone skills; strong PC computer skills with Microsoft Office and related software products; able to adapt to a variety of personalities as it relates to Owner OperatorsAS400 operating systems experience (preferably TL2000); ability to work a flexible schedule. * Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or two years related experience may be substituted for each year of college. * Strong operational background in transportation industry with dispatch experience preferred. * Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, with internal and external executive level management * Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
