A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN PLUMBING DISPATCHER

As a plumbing dispatch assistant, you arrive each day ready to work hard to ensure maximum scheduling efficiency without compromising customer service. Most of your day is spent in an office environment on the phone or computer. Your friendly and capable demeanor comes through as you receive incoming client calls and dispatch service calls to field technicians.

You schedule calls in order to provide prompt, convenient service, as well as maximize our field technicians' time and mileage. You forecast days and weeks ahead to keep all employees working and on track.

Over the phone, you inform clients of arrival times and ensure that they are notified ahead of time about any delays. And, as necessary, you reschedule appointments. You feel good about ensuring that our clients are satisfied, all parties are well-informed, and everything runs smoothly.

DISPATCHER QUALIFICATIONS

• HS diploma, or GED equivalent, is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

• 2+ years of dispatching experience

• Previous experience in customer service, dispatching and/or a service line is desired

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bilingual a plus

• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment while being self-motivated to provide exceptional customer service while interacting with customers by phone, directing technicians by radio and tracking

• Receptive to constant coaching and feedback

• Proven ability to meet/exceed set goals

• Have experience gathering data information and inputting the information in the computer

• Must be computer literate and must be able to use general office machines

• Must know the geographical territory

Familiarity with the plumbing trade would be a plus, but we will train the right person! Are you dependable?

WORK SCHEDULE

This position works a schedule of 7-4, with a 1 hour lunch, and on call after hours/weekends on a rotating schedule.
