Dispatcher / Freight Analyst (AM Shift)

Dispatcher/ Freight Analyst – What You Will Do

You will work as part of the 4 person dispatch and analysis team, supporting 16 drivers with dispatching as well as oil and gas price monitoring.

At the start of your shift at Midnight, you will turn on your phone and launch the dispatching software board on your laptop, and you will:

• Review the dispatcher notes from the prior dispatcher shift to address any immediate items (ie: drivers that are out, needing more loads on the board)
• Review the last shifts emails to ensure all orders have been reviewed
• Monitor dispatching board, maintain the fleet (ie: identify if anyone needs fuel, communicate with drivers)

In the morning, you will:

• Begin receiving and responding to emails and phone calls (up to 100 calls a day, high volume!), communicating with drivers and customers
• Utilize tracking software to monitor the ups and downs in the price and reaching out to drivers and customers based on fluctuations

Dispatcher/ Freight Analyst – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit

• You love working as part of a team (you are working like a tag team with the other dispatchers) and being an integral part of a closely held business
• You have experience and comfort using Outlook, MS Teams and MS Excel and online platforms
• You are coachable, teachable and enjoy receiving feedback and growing your skills / you want to learn new skills
• You have a strong attention to detail and comfort with evaluating pricing data – you are looking at numbers, gallons and pricing!
• Comfort with communicating with truck drivers
• Able to work Midnight to noon schedule 4 days per week (half time in the office in Los Banos)

Dispatcher/ Freight Analyst- Your Work Schedule

You will start your shift at midnight and work from midnight to 6am from your home. From 6am to noon, you will work in the office in Los Banos for the remainder of your shift.

You will work 12 hour shifts, 4 days per week, under a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule (this means that you may rotate to work some weekends).

Dispatcher/ Freight Analyst- Your Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is $23 to $24 per hour for the first 10 hours of your shift. You will also earn 2 hours of overtime each shift ($34.5 to $36 per hour) for the last 2 hours.

(Equivalent to weekly compensation $1,196 to $1,248 or approx. $64,000 annually.)

You will receive holiday pay on top of your normal hours if you happen to work on a holiday.
