Dispatcher-Berwick, PA

In the Dispatcher role you will schedule and oversee the transportation requirements to deliver, on-time, product to our customers. Oversees the Wise fleet (22 over the road drivers) and the Wise fuel island jockey during his or her shift. You will also be responsible with coordinating the drivers to help them plan trips.

This is a third shift position

You'll coordinate the transportation requirements, routes and schedules..

• Assigns and schedules 22 Wise fleet driver deliveries daily. Assigns raw material backhauls used to support Wise manufacturing of finished goods. Also, the pickup and delivery of non-Wise backhauls that generate revenue.

• Monitor route deliveries with transportation brokers and trucking companies as needed.

• Review & update the day's pick-ups appointments or deliveries and itineraries taking note of any discrepancies or problems and making corrections in an effort to enhance the efficiency of the route.

• Review post-delivery Bill of Lading and invoice for accuracy and timely submittal.

• Monitor and communicate with Brokers and others concerning such 'environmental' information as weather, road hazards, road closings, traffic delays, etc.

• Track geographic positioning of drivers and scheduled times of arrival.

• Maintain an up-to-date list of customers and broker/trucking company contact information.

• Prepare daily paperwork for report times, vehicles & trip itineraries, and driver administrative actions like vacation scheduling, payroll, CBA compliance, pension payments...

• Coordinate with other departments (order entry and shipping) to set loading appointments and properly align multi-stop orders correctly to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Assist in lane analysis to ensure Wise is paying the best rates the market has to offer when using trucking or brokerage companies.

MINIMALLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES have the following:

• 1 Year Dispatching Experience

• DOT compliance and regulations knowledge.

• Ability to do overtime as needed.

• Flexibility to work weekends.

• High School or GED.

• Microsoft office experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATES also have the following:

• 3-5 Years Dispatching Experience

• Food transportation experience.

• Dispatching/Mileage Software Experience

• 1 Year Dispatching and Load Planning Experience

• Experience working with Teamsters Union
