Job Description

Dispatcher will be responsible for receiving service requests and facilitating activities such as directing technicians, field crew support, control of technicians and apprentices to ensure a high level of client care. Interact by phone with current clients to make appointments, collect information or conduct proposal follow-up procedures.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Receive requests for service from clients and record all details in an accurate manner

  • Direct and control the activities of the technicians and support staff day to day

  • Maintain a daily schedule and on call rotation management

  • Organize driver's activities based on needs and requests received

  • Maintain Call Center janitorial needs as time permits

  • Manage and ensure scheduled maintenance of vehicle and equipment is completed timely

  • answer phones professionally

  • provide clients with product and service information

  • process orders, forms and applications

Education and Experience

Working Conditions

A 20-40 hour week is typical. Position may require additional hours during unusual or unforeseen circumstances. The Call Center is a 24/7/365 day responsibility. Proper communication, scheduling and staffing is required in order to maintain a successful Call Center.

Job Summary: The Transportation Representative coordinates movement of freight in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner. Coordinates movement of overflow freight, communicates o/o route changes, oversight and compliance to cold chain requirements. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Transportation Operations Coordinates, dispatches and tracks drivers (Owner Operators) to ensure timely and safe movement of freight. Coordinates delivery of overflow freight based on customer data. Resolves any transportation problems for the customer. Ensures driver will be able to meet window times for pick-up and deliveries. Representative is responsible for developing/implementing a plan to meet customer requirements if driver will not be able to meet window times. Works with other Transportation Reps to ensure all loads are covered for the customer. Maintains computer records of all daily load activities and service percentage, and delay times. Updates all pertinent contacts with freight movement and communicates with them regarding freight delays and failures. Monitors temperatures of trailers when applicable. Responsible for maintaining constant communication with Owner/Operators (OO). Analytical Analyzes freight flow information and makes recommendations for improvements to routes as appropriate. Works with Analyst group to implement appropriate route changes and analyzes route optimization, insuring service and revenues are maximized. Driver Training Educates drivers of policies and procedures outlined in driver's manual. Ensures drivers are following all FGSCS and DOT regulations. Reviews driver logs to ensure logs are accurate and up to date.
