Oversee and supervise a work group meet department goals.


  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.

  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.

  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates

  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.

  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication

  • Ensure drivers are completing all required daily paperwork:

  • Driver hours log (when needed)

  • Pre-trip inspection sheet

  • Driver's vehicle inspection report

  • Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report

  • Ensure all paperwork is submitted promptly to corporate office

  • Dispatch:

  • Assign product to be pulled by material handlers

  • Route paperwork/product to appropriate area

  • Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creation

  • Collect COD logs on a daily basis to ensure cash and checks are being collected

  • Communicate to CSR's, Sales, Customers, Other locations and Drivers effectively

  • Fleet:

  • Monitor state and federal DOT regulations

  • Ensure all PM's are being performed on a regular basis

  • Ensure all repairs are performed in order to stay compliant with federal regulations

  • Assist drivers in making proper arrangements when a break down occurs

  • Coordinate Smith Training for drivers

  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift

  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed


  • 3 years of related experience

  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers

  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems

  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice

  • Good memory and scanning abilities

  • Good communication and math skills

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion

  • Able to learn to use a forklift

  • May require valid driver's license (depending on location) and conformance with company driver policy

VIEW JOBS 3/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-02T00:00 Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire an Assistant Crew Supervisor (ACS) who will be the liason between Crew Members and Operations Supervisors. The ACS will be responsible for fielding team member calls/questions, dispatching/tracking vehicles/chemicals, and performing quality assurance checks on a regular basis. An emphasis will be placed on safety protocols and procedures, and ensuring Crew Members are adhering to safety protocol (PPE, safe equipment operation, etc). WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY This position earns a competitive wage of $13.50/hr. and generally works Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM (start/end times may vary, nights, weekends and some holidays required). The ACS works on average 40+ hours per week and supports the summer seasonal operations (April September). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACS As an ACS, you will be responsible for assisting the Operations Supervisor with scheduling work tickets, responding to Field Technician questions, and conducting quality assurance checks of field work being performed. You love your ACS job as you get to work inside and outside of an office and put your organizational skills to the test as you perform a variety of tasks daily. A map will be given to you by your supervisor for you to utilize as you safely navigate to inspection/treatment sites. You have excellent attention to detail as you schedule work tickets, monitor the field work, and complete daily assignments. You take pride in your work knowing that your contributions are making a direct impact on the environment. When you are not in the office performing administrative and operations duties, you are assisting with field activities (truck spraying, backpack applications, etc), tracking/recording inventory, and ensuring safe work practices and procedures are followed at all times.
