As a Dispatch Manager you play a critical role in the safe transportation of our patients in non-emergency situations.

Dispatch Manager Responsibilities:

  • Plans, manages and reviews the work of assigned dispatch staff for the Jefferson Transfer Center and King of Prussia

  • Participates in the selection of assigned staff

  • Provides for the training of staff in work procedures

  • Evaluates performance and provides for staff discipline as required

  • Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the division

  • Provides for the installation, upgrading, maintenance, operation and staff training for all dispatch hardware and software

  • Coordinates the dispatch services of the markets to ensure timely and efficient patient delivery to the standards set forth by Ambulnz

  • Maintains a healthy relationship with all clients

  • Stays current with the EMS laws, regulations and developments

  • Prepares a variety of periodic and special reports as required

  • Reports to the Director(s) of Operations within the market(s)

  • Oversees compliant Call Taking, Dispatch and Pre-Billing functions for the assigned market

  • Oversee proper completion of all Dispatch, Call Taking and Pre-Billing tasks

  • Monitor and direct Dispatch staff and tasks, including remote dispatch sites

  • Be available for 48 hours per week for Administrator on Call duties, including one weekend per month, to address high level customer service issues

  • Develop a demand analysis and dispatch plan

  • Maintain and improve customer NPS score

Dispatch Manager Requirements:

  • Active EMT in the state of PA or NJ
  • 3+ years of dispatching experience in the healthcare industry

The Senior Manager Readiness Program offers the opportunity for well qualified individuals to received structured professional leadership development and experience. During the twenty-four (24) month training and development program, all attendees will be assigned a mentor, complete career learning plans, and attend leadership-training classes. In addition, candidates will receive at least one developmental acting assignment and participate in a variety of developmental activities. The goal is to prepare you to compete for future senior manager positions. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinate managers and employees. In this role, you will use your leadership skills and management techniques for planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations, planning and carrying out the training and development of managers and employees, evaluating work performance, and in performing all other functions related to this level position. Generally, as a senior manager, you are a manager of managers and accountable to a Senior Executive Service position and are responsible for the overall effective operation of a program. Temporary promotions in this program are not subject to the 120-day limitations. As a Senior Manager Readiness Program candidate you will: * Remain in your current position and post of duty. * Complete assigned senior management training courses which will include formal face to face or virtual classroom training and several online training courses. * Complete developmental acting assignments and/or various collateral duty developmental activities and assignment. * Serve in one or more senior manager developmental assignments that will enhance your ability to perform at the senior manager level. * Details and temporary promotions may be for periods of time up to and/or exceeding 120 days in length. SMRP does not guarantee a temporary promotion as part of the program, nor does it guarantee the length of a temporary promotion. * Serve as a Coach and Mentor for frontline employees.
