Transportation Job Description

Responsible for dispatching Driver Representatives daily. Work closely with logistics in the development and adjustment of routes to ensure maximum weight and cubes. Assist in resolving transportation conflicts and maintaining customer relations. Assist driver/representatives on the road. Coordinate special order requests with Customer Service. Schedule backhauls. Responsible for downloading route information into the GPS system.


  • High school graduate or GED equivalent desired.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Ability to work independently and function as a team member.

  • Good planning and organizing skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software Package.

  • Proficient math and analytical skills.

  • AS400 experience preferred.

  • Truck routing software experience preferred.

Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements.
