BASIC PURPOSE:
The Dishwasher is responsible for janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for customers.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:
1.Ensures the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and resetting dining areas.
2.Prepares dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
3.Cleans machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, mixers, etc.
4.Unloads and stores deliveries.
5.Sweeps and mops floors.
6.Cleans floors when items are broken or spilled.
7.Takes out trash and rinses garbage cans.
8.Supports other restaurant staff members by assisting with tasks as needed.
9.Reports kitchen accidents or violation of food safety codes and procedures.
Obey all federal, state, and local laws.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled area.
Physical exertion required including continuous standing and walking. Frequent stooping, reaching, handling and lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to comply with all food safety procedures.
Minimal exposure to infectious diseases.
Physical job demands may be subject to possible modifications to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/ Certification: NA
Experience: 1 year experience preferred
