Washes, transports and stores properly all dishes, trays, eating utensils, cups and small equipment for the department. Maintains Eatalys facilities in a clean, sanitary and efficient manner. The Housekeeper will move food, dishes, trash, service equipment and kitchen equipment as directed.
As an ambassador of Eataly products and services, the Housekeeper is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively engage with guests and spend quality time with each customer.
Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities) Description
Sets up and breaks down dish machine, including arms, screens and baskets. Cleans and polishes machine thoroughly including removing any paper and hosing down interior. Checks machine to be sure it is operating correctly and reports any defects immediately. Washes and properly stores all dishes, trays, utensils, cups and small equipment for the department.
Removes trash, recycling and composting from receptacles throughout the store and kitchens and places in appropriate dumpster. Cleans and sanitizes garbage cans, and keeps clean liners in cans at all times.
Cleans and keeps neat dish room area including, dry floors, detergent storage area and belt line from the dining area.
Keeps all equipment clean, polished and neatly stored.
Transports all items necessary for restaurant operation.
Responsible for the constant maintenance and for ensuring the efficiency and good working conditions of multiple 24 hour facilities including all building, restaurant and retail facilities.
Ensures that exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions are maintained and abiding by state and federal regulations at all times. This includes retail areas, restaurants, restrooms and customer and employee areas.
Cleans dishes, glassware, pots, pans, silverware, and kitchen items including storage racks, floors, walls, dish area, and any other items requested.
Ensures that all ppm levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirement for health standards. Checks water temperature during dishwashing operation to ensure proper temperature.
Keeps utensil racks, dish storage area, mop room, banquet area, dish closets, garbage cans, glassware storage area, bake ware storage and any other storage areas for kitchen wares storage clean and orderly.
Maintains general cleanliness throughout the store including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
Cleans and maintains restrooms throughout the store.
Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry dish racks weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
